Not sure if I broke this news or not, but we've decided to move back closer to family in Ontario. I managed to deal with work and snag myself a nice transfer back to my home province - within 1 hr of my parents, my wife's parents, and approximately 1.5 hrs of mabudon!!!!

Now all I have to do is keep the house spic and fucking span for 2 weeks while my wife and kids are away so that it sells fast. Fuck I hate showing houses.

damn, man... didn't you guys just move there within the last year? god knows i know what it's like to move around a lot (i married a gypsy, apparently...) but we've never sold a house - don't know what that's like...

good going on the job transfer, though! i heard employers in canada are generally more helpful in that realm, though.

Don't forget, vyn, JJ is a federal agent, so transfers within the country are kind of the norm- JJ had to "do time" way out in buttfuck nowhere before he was able to land assignments in "nicer" areas, and then a bit more before he could cherry-pick

looking forward to getting a hockey game in over the winter, Leafs vs Wings will be the shit man

Good luck with the sale. Are ya still coming out this way in the next months to look for new digs or is that plan now reconfigured??

Vyn, as crazy as it sounds we've been here for just over 3 years.

Mabs- I'm still coming. Here's how the whole next couple of months is supposed to work:

July 21st - transfer becomes "official" via fax (might take as long as August 1st though).

August 2nd - depart for holidays in Ontario, which will include a day's rocking out with

August 22nd - return to Nanaimo.

October 17 (or thereabouts) work my last shift in Nanaimo.

October 21 (or thereabouts) report for duty in Kitchener.

Somewhere in there, however, we need to have some joker buy my house. We're really, truly lucky this time - property values have gone fucking ballistic since we bought here in 2002. We're expecting to make enough on the sale of this bitch to put 50% down on our new place!!!!

I have had some luck with my house, too. Since we bought it in Dec 03, it's gone up $110,000. We might be selling it in the next year or so...one of the big-wigs from another office in my company is trying to get me to work for him. So far he's offered me a position in a different office in Vegas, Tennessee, and now Colorado (which is the one I was waiting for). I should be finding out more over the next month or two. Hopefully there is a raise in there too.

Awesome, RII. Jodi and I had our honeymoon in Colorado - I spent fucking hour after hour driving around that dusty bastard of a state. Loved Denver though, so much so that I'd consider going back there for another visit someday.

Got my fingers crossed for the speedy sale of casa reason, and if the market is hot like you indicate it should be a pretty simple deal, I know my buddy sold his condo here when the market was peaking and he had the deal done in less that 24 hours after listing it so hope you have the exact similar experience

And as for the rockin out, I'll be primed and ready- maybe this time we could not bother crossing the damn border (no reason other than I don't expect too much, the last trip was pretty lame, no) and just goof off locally, but we'll figure it out when the time comes eh?

Cool, again, it'll be sweet being able to get together a bit more often, and having your family around as your little people grow up will be great for everyone (and babysitting will be easier to set up too, no doubt)
