Who's going to Celebration IV?

Just curious. It's in my backyard, but I'm having a hard time caring. The entire SW license is going to hell, and it's hard to stay interested in anything but the movies themselves.

Only reason I might go would be if Nalini Krishan were there. Then I might go just so I could say, "Pardon me. My wife has agreed that you are one of two women I would theoretically be allowed to have sex with. If you're not busy at the moment, can we find somewhere more private? I'd like to make you cum so hard you'll be crosseyed for the rest of your life. And would you mind putting the makeup on first?"

(Fuck, I just went to starwars.com to check the spelling of the name, and I wasn't signed in, and that's the most fucking annoying shitload of ads I've ever seen! Every goddamned click, and it's another ad. Does this obnoxious shit actually increase sales for anyone?)

But, seriously, any of you shits planning to go? I might make the drive out there, even if I'm not attending.

My wife already said we can go if I want to. Hell, she had the whole plan of dropping the kids off at my mom's house because if I go, she wants to go.

What's it going to cost and what exactly goes on during the convention?

No clue on either count. I was seriously considering going, but they showed a good deal of footage from CIII at Comic-Con last summer, and it really, really looked like a case of "you pay your money, and you make your own fun."

Fuck it, I can make my own fun for free, and not deal with people in silly costumes.

It's at the LA convention center next May, on and around the exact 30th anniversary of ANH.

Nalini Krishan was there last time. One of the actresses had her tits basically hanging out when she was signing autographs . . . I think it was either Michonne Bourriague, Amy Allen, or Shannon Whatshernuts, but either way, hot damn.

I've been to all three and am definitely going to the next one. There's more than enough stuff to do, see, and buy; the main exhibit hall tends to be mind-boggling in terms of SW stuff all at once. At CIII, we had to wait in line several hours to get the Vader figures, but this time it will likely be better since the store's open 24 hours.

Oh, and I got third place at one of the trivia contests, which was cool.

Amy Allen is, quite possibly, the biggest autograph whore in the history of the world.

Amy Allen is also rather... boring. Not at all unattractive, but just another kinda cute blonde. It's a bit sad when you put green makeup on and cover your hair with weird tentacle things, and that makes you go from "above average" to "frigging hot."

Mind you, I'm not necessarily saying that's sad on her part vs mine.

Meh, none of then are particularly hot. Above average perhaps, but Amy Allen is kinda fug, at least in the images that popped up on Google.

I would LOVE to go to C4 (or whatever they're calling it). Sounds like as good of an excuse as any to get rid of the kids.

Awesome! I can't wait to see you in Indianapolis for Celebration III! I heard they are going to show never before seen footage for Episode III. It should be very exciting! Where are you staying in Indianapolis while you are there? Are you staying at the Indianapolis Holiday INN? Or perhaps the Indianapolis Ramada? You'll have lots of fun!! : )

Yeah, Nerbler, Celebration 3 was a few years ago, explaning why tickets were so cheap(and also explaining why this very thread has the number four in the title)- these things are all about parting fanboys from their hard earned cash. I imagine you ain't getting a refund since no doubt the seller identified the item correctly, but it's only 2 bucks, you can't even get a good star wars guy for that kind of bread.

So, Nerbler, I think George Lucas is going to come to Celebration III and personally give ten minutes of face time to every single fan. And then he's going to invite a select few to have dinner with him at his swanky Indianapolis hotel suite. Check your tickets! If they have a Star Wars character on them, you get to go!!
