Really bad mmusic from the mid to late 90's

uh, y'know, the sounds that sound good together... sometimes... and sometimes sounds like the disgusting "squish squish" sound Slicker's mom makes whenever she walks

Lonely and dreaming of the west coast....

For a couple of years, I thought that was Better than Ezra for some reason, and couldn't figure out why I couldn't find the damned song.

I saw Soul Asylum and the Screaming Trees open for the Spin Doctors once. Back before Schenkman left, and took all their talent. That guy totally pulled an Ozzy with them. They were a tight band, but the guitarist leaves, and everyone else sucks all of a sudden.

Fuck Iron maiden and even the mighty MOTORHEAD managed to squeeze out turds in the 90's :mabs:
(Motorhead since changed track back to the GLORY days but maiden is still pinching loaves every time the hit the studio, even now they're reformed- kinda sad really but oh well, we'll always have "Wrathchild" and "The Trooper" and "Murders in the Rue Morgue")
Vince, NO!!!!!

I just ripped off most of your pubes!!

Yeah, heavy metal took a major downturn in the 90s. The only "great" works I can think of off-hand are all by bands that some consider metal and some don't, and most were quite un-metal:

GNR: Use Your Illusion I&II
Def Leppard: Slang (full-on grunge-pop)
Scorpions: Eye II Eye (full-on New Wave)

Metallica did stay pretty consistently good, though they became less metal with every album. St Anger was in the 2000s, so it's sucktitude doesn't affect their output in the 90s.
