Re: star wars
Do any of you guys know when the "Disturbance in the Force" set will be up for sale on Star Wars Shop.com? At first I was skeptical, but after seeing this video, I'm sold.

That actually lamer than I expected. Why does Darth have to look down at Palps?

Re: star wars
Is holo Emperor supposed to glow? And why the hell did the guy use a blue background? Contrast? Helloo?

Re: star wars
The Emperor doesn't glow, but Vader's base does. I suppose you could put Palpatine on the base and have Vader down on the floor, but then you'd have a big black thing (think BTG) at the Emperor's base. I wish the set was more to scale but I still think it's pretty sweet.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

Re: star wars
It looks like the holo emperor lights up when you plug it into the base. Something about the whole set up doesn't look right. Someone should dub over the audio on that video and have it play "You light up my life".
My wife told me I should have bought that GH Jabba set. My kids saw the pictures of it and want it and the Slave Leia & R2 w/ drinks.
Originally, I was planning on getting the Rebel Pilot Evolutions, but I started looking at the pictures again. Now I'm not so sure.

Re: star wars
I saw the pictures from the Hasbro presentation. I'm still on the fence about the Rebel Pilot Evolutions, but I'll probably get the Shield Generator and Yavin Battlepacks whenever they come out.
Not interested in the Sarlaac and doubtful on the Lars home.
The first ANH wave of '09 looks ok and I very well may get the whole thing to complete the droids (even though I don't really want the Spacetrooper). The poofiness of the Ben Kenobi bugs me a little. Its hard to believe there has never been a carded Han stormtrooper.

Re: star wars
I picked up Yarna, Ewok, Bane, Ak-Rev and the 2 part helmet Vader. I will get the rest tomorrow or early next week.

Re: star wars
We got the GH Jabba set and the slave Leia/R2 pack from Target. I decided not to get the Pilots evolution set right now. Maybe if it goes on clearance.
Re: star wars
I got the whole Legacy Collection ROTJ wave plus the Padme and Rebel Pilots Evolution sets and a Clone Wars Yoda.

Re: star wars
2 Yarnas, Ewok 2 pack, Chewie & Bane for me. I'll get the rest of the 1st Legacy wave and possibly the Padme pack after next payday. I'm very happy with the figures I got, but Chewie's a bit loose in the torso. He's also quite rubbery. Yarna is an absolute masterpiece.

Re: star wars
Cappy and I had one word that best described everything we saw yesterday at Wal-Mart: Underwhelming.
I thought almost all the figures were either boring or looked terrible, especially Yarna.
Earlier in the day I picked up the Vader with two piece helmet and the second I opened it I had buyers remorse. The helmet is cheap rubber which doesn't fit very well and the cloth capes are just cheap and annoying.

Sorry to hear that, but thank you for justifying my non-purchase of the Vader.Diabolical wrote: I thought almost all the figures were either boring or looked terrible, especially Yarna.

Re: star wars
I spent like $600 this weekend on SW shit. Why? Cause fuck you, that's why. I'm thoroughly pleased with almost everything, but the Imperial Pilots set was kind of disappointing (HUGE Biggs helmet, repaint of AOTC Evolutions pilot, re-use of legs from first ROTS pilot).
But how in the hell did Hasbro manage to make the Sarlacc look even more like a vagina?
It even has a clitoris, for God's sake.

Seriously? I think that Yarna is one of the best figures Hasbro has given us in recent years.Diabolical wrote:I thought almost all the figures were either boring or looked terrible, especially Yarna.
