What have you watched lately?

movies are cool. here is a place to talk about how cool they are. or maybe how much they suck, sometimes. like that fucking piece of shit 'mac and me'. worst fucking movie ever, a two-hour ad for fucking coca-cola.

Twilight. My God, I did not know vampires could be so fucking dull! This movie was so bland, I cheered when the bad guy finally threw the dumb twat main character and busted her up, since it actually fucking woke me up. Too bad there were only like six minutes left in this snoozefest. Dull, and with more plot holes than a 10-pound block of Swiss cheese, and so little motivation to the characters that ROTS seems like a seven-film buildup to Anakin's fall in comparison. And I was going to fucking kill someone if there was another goddamned pointless slo-mo scene.

Not recommended.

Ashley Greene was kinda cute, though, especially when she was playing baseball and had that jersey on for the weird "cute girl looking hot in a stereotypical male role" thing going on.

She certainly didn't look bad, but her character was so bland.... Funny that you thought she was the "weird chick." I thought she was just taking up space.

Kristen Stewart is younger than I am. Isn't that weird?
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

That Ashley Greene chick is way hotter than she is in that pic (Google image search).

And if Kristin Stewart is pretty hot also, but this pic...

well, she plays more of the 'weird chick' in adventureland. maybe that was influencing my thought process. i wasn't really enthralled with anything about twilight.

if twilight was 10 times shorter and 100 times more honest.

ROBERT PATTINSON

So, the next generation of young women are currently flocking to see a female lead starring in a movie by a female director based on a bestselling book by a female author, and in this movie the main character wants to become completely submissive and self-sacrificing for a male.

KRISTEN STEWART

I love you. Put a baby in me.

Saw both The Dark Knight and Speed Racer this weekend. Naturally, I missed the very beginning of both. Batman was a lot darker than I expected. Speed Racer was ok.

Yes Speed Racer was MOST okay- as in AWESOME

I just dug the "clean" take on it, without being "weak"- Racer X punching that guy in the face blows my mind to this day :mabs:

I never watched the cartoon so I wasn't really sure what to expect. Still, it did feel like a live action cartoon (with a lot of CGI racing). The video game makes more sense now.

finally saw 'star trek' last week - very awesome. the only thing i had an issue with was 'bones' mccoy - he was a bit too much of a caricature, not enough of an homage as the rest of the cast was able to pull off.

Run Fatboy Run: I expected this to be pretty good, and it topped my expectations. Well worth seeing, even if not 100% realistic.

Dist-shit 9 last night. Ugh. Not one situation or solution was original - I felt like i had seen it all before. I sat close (not by choice) which added quite a bit of shaky to the ever-more-tiresome documentary style shaky cam. Back to production people, that shit has worn out its welcome.

The aliens looked fake the whole time and were uninteresting. I felt no concern for their plight. The hero was borderline retarded, and I felt nothing for him either.

The only redeeming thing about this whole thing was a brief battle sequence toward the end featuring a mini-mech - the way they did the small missiles firing was very much like real-life Robotech and that made me smile a little bit. A very little bit. :(
