How I realized I was over Star Wars completely

movies are cool. here is a place to talk about how cool they are. or maybe how much they suck, sometimes. like that fucking piece of shit 'mac and me'. worst fucking movie ever, a two-hour ad for fucking coca-cola.

Personally, I was excited since I've always heard rumors about that scene but never knew it actually existed. Seeing it was basically like seeing a lost artifact, to me at least. The scene itself is bizarre and tonally off from the rest of the film, but it's mostly interesting from a behind-the-scenes perspective.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

So they are coming out in 3D after all. Why didn't they just announce it at that big convention? I'm not paying to see any of the prequels again (I caught a few minutes of AOTC on tv recently and I swear it gets worse every time I see it). If my kids are interested in it, I'll catch the OT whenever they come out.

I'm looking forward to the 3D releases, should be fun to go back and see them all again once or twice on the big screen.

That's awesome!

I saw some gorgeous glasses at Ross today, a set of four for $7.99, with what looked like Struzan art based on film stills. Han and Luke were from ANH, Leia from ESB (Bespin, the white jumpsuit and braids), and Vader was from, uh, not sure (I think the original pre-release ESB poster). I had to get them.

I think it's safe to say I am not over the original films, even if the prequels don't hold much appeal anymore.

I saw those too. Almost got them, but talked myself out of it. The art work sort of had a vintage McDonalds glass feel to them, but better.

Sorry, JJL, but I have to completely disagree with you on this "Savage Oppress" thing in Clone Wars. To me, introducing Darth Maul's twin brother is absurd fanwank on the level of anything Image Comics published for the first several years. I don't like the show much, but even I gave them far more credit than this sort of stunt.

Luckily, Stewart and Colbert taught me that we can disagree and still get along.

I was the first one to express shock and anger over that, but for me it wasn't just the idea, but the idiocy of the EU combined with that ridiculous name. "Savage Oppress"?!?!?! Why not call him "Bad Evil" and get it overwith

This is kind of why the CMT fanfic is so much fun, even making it as dumb as I can personally stand it is still actually cooler than stuff that fanboys jerk off to, which is, as stated above, sad and hilarious

Aye. But this show has been expanding on the stories of the prequel villains throughout the series. Grievous is a natural, obvious choice, and Jango's story was basically done through Boba and the Mandalorian Death Watch. So it's not exactly like this is coming out of nowhere.

But where did you hear it was his twin? You're the only person I've ever heard say that.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.
