Yeah, I couldn't stand the first issue enough to read the second. That series was garbage.

Where's anything representing Peter David's Hulk run? John Byrne's Fantastic Four? How about the McFarlane or Larsen runs on Amazing Spider-Man? (But, hey, we get Maximum Carnage, which I truly hope is there as a joke.)

They had already kinda gone that route with Josiah X, the nephew of Isaiah Bradley. He was in the short lived Crew comic from 2003.

Luke Cage should become immortal, and a time traveler. Then future versions of him come to the present, get different powers, and take over for every Marvel superhero.

Except Iron Fist. Because he's Luke's pal.

Only if he promises to call everyone Jive Turkeys when he's the Hulk.

Good news and horrible news.

First the good - Thunderbolts looks to be cancelled with issue #32 in October. I haven't bought it in a few months, but now I almost want to so I have a complete run of this series. Plus, this last story of The Punisher vs The Thunderbolts has piqued my interest ever so slightly.

And now the horrible news - It also looks like Hawkeye #22 may also be the last issue. First it was Rucka's Punisher, now this. Fuck you, Marvel.

Shit, they made me like the guy for the first time in ever, and now it's canned? I've got to assume, given the acclaim (and likely sales) it gets, that Fraction and Aja consider their story done and Marvel doesn't want to piss on that.

I'm kinda with Chux - if Marvel's canning it, fuck them. If the creators feel like the story has run its course, I think it's ok for it to end. They'll just relaunch it as HAWKGUY NAOOOOOOOO in 3 months by Remender and Humberto Ramos, for only $5.99 a regular-sized issue.

Tried pretty hard to dislike Hulk v Iron Man, but Bagley's art in 3 was too good. Much ado about nothing though, as far as 4 issues go. This could have been a one-shot.

Finally got around to finishing Hickman's FF run. Absolutely glorious. Yes, there was a minor lull after the Celestials, but there was awesome too - I enjoyed the trip to Wakanda and the little clone of the Wizard giving it to the old man. f you can get them in cheap trades, do not hesitate - although I don't really know how they'd do it. FF in one book and Fantastic Four in the other or issue by issue mixed into each volume? They totally dovetail, it would almost be weird to have to drop one book to read the other for 10 minutes and then go back to the first one....

I want to love Kaare Andrews' Iron Fist, I really do - but I think I'm done with issue 5. I might go one more just to make sure.

It's a tad decompressed. I'm looking forward to the status quo going forward.
He seems to be scorching the earth on his entire history. Which is cool I guess. I have every Iron Fist issue and series ever and most of them from the 90s and early 2000s were just variations on "oh KunLun is in trouble again". It got old.
