How I realized I was over Star Wars completely

movies are cool. here is a place to talk about how cool they are. or maybe how much they suck, sometimes. like that fucking piece of shit 'mac and me'. worst fucking movie ever, a two-hour ad for fucking coca-cola.

Not enough to get me excited, but nothing to make me say ‘uhhhgh’ either. It looks like the jumped up TV series that it is, and not a grand cinematic experience.
But I guess I trust Filoni and Favreau enough to give them the benefit. Is this a one and done, or are they planning multiple films?

Apparently, there's one more movie and at least one more season of Ahsoka. Possibly more, but that's all that's confirmed. Supposedly, the unnamed Filoni movie will be the climax of all these shows and movies set in the 5-7(+?) years after ROTJ range, and he's said he's putting as many existing characters as possible in it. Given Thrawn has returned, a lot of people expect it to be a sort of canon re-imagining of the HTTE trilogy.

Guilty as charged. I posted that in this thread in April 2023 and September 2022.

And I still think Thrawn looks like a blue Elon Musk.

Star Wars is being re-released in theaters for the 50th anniversary. It comes out Feb 19, 2027. They say it is a newly restored version of the 1977 theatrical release. I'm excited, and I'd wager Newsbot is, too.

Complete with Martin Scorsese as a space monkey.

Shadow Lord dropped today.

Even if you hate the story (which was a solid hard-boiled crime drama, a first for SW onscreen), the animation is absolutely fucking gorgeous.

Also today marks the 30th anniversary of SOTE (at least the novel and CD parts). That soundtrack still kicks all the ass. I want Xizor on the big screen just to hear that bitching theme music in a theater.

The story begins shortly after the events of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, which takes place a year earlier in 19 BBY.
