What have you watched lately?

movies are cool. here is a place to talk about how cool they are. or maybe how much they suck, sometimes. like that fucking piece of shit 'mac and me'. worst fucking movie ever, a two-hour ad for fucking coca-cola.

I think I saw him on SNL recently. So he's still around doing stuff. Good for him. Rootin' for the little guy.

San Andreas - The Rock fights an earthquake. Exactly how it looks: insanely stupid, but very entertaining.

Rocky III - In Rocky II, Micky initially refuses to train Rocky for the Creed rematch because he is worried about Rocky's eye and the almost definite chance Rocky will be blinded in that eye. That didn't happen and Rocky kept fighting to defend his title. Convenient how they forgot that. Clubber Lang was really angry for no apparent reason. Somehow, Rocky is no longer an illiterate oaf. Also, Paulie continues to be one of the most unlikable characters in movie history.

Rocky IV - Rocky wants revenge when The Punisher kills Chubbs Peterson in the ring.

Dear Mr. Watterson - Wonderful documentary about Bill Watterson and Calvin & Hobbes that has been on my Netflix queue for a while. Go watch it.

I still haven't seen Rocky Balboa. I'm curious how they retconned Parkinson's away. Marty McFly might be interested in that knowledge.

The mere idea of Calvin&Hobbes existing makes me joyful.

Just found Dear Mr. Watterson is available on Netflix over here. Sounds like something worth watching. Will view later. Thank you for the recommendation, wouldn't have known about it otherwise.
I have never read any of your posts, but from what I can learn I should say that for people who like the kind of posts you deliver, they are just the kind of posts such people like.

Dear Mr. Watterson has a lot of fanboy gushing by a lot of comic strip creators, but it really makes you want to read C&H.
Also a lot of history of the strip and Bill Watterson's motivations and his feelings on merchandising.

Stephen Tobolowsky's Birthday Party - You may not know his name, but you've Steven Tobolowsky before. He's been in hundreds of movies and tv shows. Two of his most recognizable roles are Ned Ryerson in Groundhog Day and Bob Bishop on Heroes. Anyway, this film/doc is him telling a few of the amazing (and true) stories from his life. This movie is the inspiration for his amazing podcast, The Tobolowsky Files.

Rocky V - What a chore it was to sit through this turd. Rocky has brain damage from fighting Drago and now he's broke, so he is forced to retire. He ends up training an idiot, which ends up with the two in a bare knuckle street fight, where Rocky takes blow after blow to the head.

Trance - Danny Boyle's art heist flick with James McAvoy and Rosario Dawson and her full frontal nudity, including her shaved pussy.

Big Trouble in Little China - I think the upcoming remake with the Rock could be a good thing. Even though its fun, a lot of this flick doesn't hold up and feels pretty racist at times.

Rocky Balboa - Rocky, still broke, comes out of retirement after a computer simulation pits him against the current heavyweight champ. A fine send off to the franchise...until Creed comes out in a few months.

Jurassic World - Starlord fights dinosaurs. Not as good as Jurassic Park, and far better than what I remember from JP2 and what I saw of JP3.

Surprised me too.
I've seen things labeled as "educational" with nudity, but not stuff like this.

Avengers: Age of Ultron - got in one more viewing before it left theaters.

The Italian Job - Hadn't seen it in a while. Too bad they never got around to a sequel. Or maybe, thankfully, since it would have been fast and furious.

Orange is the New Black Season 3 - 9 episodes in. Not sure why some people have been bashing this season.

Jaws - 40th anniversary showing at the theater. Even better on the big screen.

I watched a little bit of Mad Max (it was a shitty bootleg on the boat) and the one girl is constantly nippin' HARD. I liked it. I liked it a lot.
Sweet berry wine!
