I saw the Venom trailer and it kind of confused me. I'm not an expert, but didn't Venom became Venom when Peter Parker realized the black suit was bad and the black symbonite ended up in the hands of one of Parker's bullies. Is it safe to say it takes place in San Francisco because Marvel is tire of destroying NYC?

I don’t know, but I saw the leaked footage of him transforming into Venom and...yeeesh.
Also, I don’t think the Venom movie is part of the MCU. When they announced it, Sony head said it was and then Kevin Feige flipped out and made her walk that statement back later.

This looks really bad. Like Fant4stic or Suicide Squad levels of bad.
I'd feel bad for Tom Hardy, but his performance is too laughably bad in the trailer.

Anyone else thinking that both pale Vision and either Joe Fixit or Professor Hulk seem like safe bets for the next movie?

Definitely thought the former. That color shift was no accident. I think Shuri mapped enough to give us cold, emotionless Vision who will not remember/be able to process his feeling for Wanda and will be a story catalyst for him trying to regain his humanity in future movies.
Hadn’t really thought about the latter, but that’s a good guess.
