Finally saw the last 4 episodes of Season 5 of The Walking Dead (thank you again DB!). It definitely ended a LOT different than I thought it would...but looking back it was pretty obvious who the real (and upcoming) enemy was. Still a good ending to the season...although I was pissed about Tyrese earlier in the season.

Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore are two of my favorite comedies.
And I have a soft spot for the first Grown Ups.

And I'm still pissed at myself for taking so long to send 'em, Slick Monica.

It's all good. It was a favor so I wasn't gonna pressure you about it. And someone fucking came back drunk in port and fucking drank that Coke. I was seriously pissed. He's the only cool one in the shop and we hang out in port usually (but I had duty and didn't) but I gave him an earful over that shit. Anything else is fine but not something that a friend sent from the states.

What a cunt. I was surprised to see one and amazed to find two.
Maybe I can go for the hat trick...

Any Sandler movie up to Little Nicky is good. They go to Hell quickly after that.

Ant-Man. I'll just copy and paste what I put on Facebook:
I have been a comic book fanboy for ages. While I've felt the whole "Marvel vs DC" debate is pointless, I've gravitated mostly toward Marvel. I still read comics regularly, even if not many "Big Two" superheroes, and have no intention of stopping. What I'm about to say, I do not say lightly.

At this point, Marvel has made a heist comedy about the dumbest superhero in their stable, and a science fiction epic about a raccoon and a talking tree. Even with that in mind, almost every new movie or TV show they release makes people revise their "all-time best ever" lists.

I honestly think I would still be happy with Marvel if they stopped making comics at this point and focused entirely on films and TV. Not saying they should. But they could.
I assume two things:

1) All of you caught the Spider-Man reference near the end,

and 2) the post-credit scene takes placeafter the Civil War has already begun (the conversation seems like Cap and Tony are already on differing sides of something).

Hunger Games 1 & 2. About what I expected but likely a bit better - surprised at the intensity, especially with kids involved, but folks have been saying that since the books were a thing. They were right, and it makes the story seem real, in a silly fantasy type of way. I need to read the books at some point.

Haven't seen the movie, and only read the first book so far, but I was astounded by how good it was.

The Wind Rises. Bravo, Miyazaki-san. You are missed, but you gave us one final masterpiece. Enjoy your well-earned retirement.

The past three days on the boat TV's they have shown the PT so naturally I watched them all. Even after not watching them for about a year I can still say that I like TPM a lot. Jar Jar doesn't even distract from it anymore. AOTC isn't as bad as I remembered (or want it to still be) but the acting is still unbearable. ROTS is still solid as can be for me ad easily my favorite of the PT.

Starting today they're gonna play the OT.

Ant Man tonight. Nowhere near the top of the Marvel pantheon, but it was certainly well past "passable" and safely into "worth the money" or "pretty good" territory. A few laughs & some half decent action, but for me the silly factor was a little overwhelming. Not the ants obeying commands silly either - the hispanic dude's faces & lines in particular, the prison fight scene - this was Return of the Jedi where I was eventually wincing at the silly instead of being charmed by it.

I saw Ant-Man (again) tonight also. I had free passes that were going to expire soon and it was either Ant-Man or Pixels.
I still really liked it. Man, I thought Michael Pena was hilarious - he stole every scene he was in.

Agreed on Peña. Yeah, he was mugging, but it worked.

You wouldn't have noticed him if he hadn't whistled.
