And I did. Fucking enjoyable, too. And Kate Mara wasn't even the most boneworthy chick in this movie - Jessica Chastain is fantastic.
The blonde chick back in Houston space center is also worth mentioning.
I was going to bring her up.
Apparently NASA requires their women to be bangable in the future.

we actually bought a Blu-Ray player for A:AoU. the DVD was so bare-bones and there was no DVD/BR combo. Ended up getting the BR/BR3D/Digital version. haven't watched it yet, because the new player only works with the upstairs tv (our 'main' tv is still a ginormous CRT).

I'm wishing I had spent the extra $5 for the deluxe version. The bluray disc didn't come with a DVD this time.

Two vynsane.com forumites are two of the only people to see TNMBC in a theater. Even with it now being coopted by emo kids (or whatever they're called this week), it's still a damned good film.
BTW, the intro on the soundtrack is read by Patrick Stewart as Santa. Not sure if he was originally intended to play the role or not. And there's an epilogue that is all the sequel the movie needs.

There is a chance that I saw Nightmare before Christmas in the theater, but I'm not 100% sure.

yeah, it was DVD-only, BR-only or BR/3D/Digital, no BR/DVD. target had the DVD on sale for $14.99 then a 10% off cartwheel app coupon, so it was like $13. i originally bought the DVD but the missus convinced me to go get the BR/3D/Digital version because it had the bonus features and free digital edition, and to purchase the BR player using a $20 bestbuy gift card i was given as consolation for a fiasco i had with them on another purchase.
so i returned the DVD to target, went to bestbuy to purchase the BR player, then went back to target to find that they had sold out of the BR/3D/Dig version! the other close target also sold out, so i just bought it on amazon for the same price (but without the extra 10% cartwheel coupon, which was good for all versions of the movie).
then i went back to bestbuy and exchanged the BR player for the one with wireless built-in because i didn't realize it was the same exact player (with amazon, hulu and netflix built-in) but with LAN-connection only.

Jesus, that's a lot of steps - but it sounds like you got to the best possible destination! Having a bluray player with all that stuff built in sounds half decent - my most recent experience was purchasing a TV & BR for my folks, but it was the TV that had the similar setup. I do like their player though as it connect to the wireless via bluetooth dongle & keeps its drivers up to date automatically. Thought that was pretty cool.

You should've just bought a PS4.

i'm not necessarily interested in a PS4, plus it would have been major overkill to buy a PS4 in order to access special features and digital download for one movie

It's all in how you sell it to the wife
Oh, and if I wasn't included in the group of folks having seen Nightmare Before Christmas in the theatre you can add another one - I went on a date with a girl named Heather in my 2nd year of university and basically completely blew a sure thing. Not my finest moment.

Revenge of the Nerds. Ahhh, the 80s. Bullying people because they are different is bad, but sexual assault is ok. And college football teams only had about 15 people on them, all of which were white and in the same frat. Hail pie and robstal craws!

Absolutely hilarious. That was my "Porky's" - my first taste of female nudity on film. I'm getting a semi just thinking about it....
"HELL PIE SANK YOU VELLY MUCH!!!"
"YOU JUST GOT YOUR ASSES HUH-WHIPPED... BY A BUNCH OF GOD DAMNED NERDS. NERRRRDDSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"And just when you though you've seen it all, along comes a Lambda 4 feet tall.
So why don't you come out here on the floor, so we can work our bodies like never before. TRILAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM"

Don't forget the javelin specially designed for a limp wrist throwing style.
It is free HBO weekend again.
Jupiter Ascending a.k.a "Channing Tatum and His Spiffy Flying Roller Blades". Part Dune, part Last Starfighter and a touch of Star Wars.
