After watching ESB last night, it was clear that he's in this specific outfit (no helmet/thermal cap, no gloves) for a good chunk of the film. It's not like Echo Base Han where it's like five seconds.Ran wrote:That makes how many X-Wing Lukes? As was stated elsewhere, the X-wing pilot (ANH/ROTJ) and snowspeeder pilot (ESB) gear are actually quite different, from the skirt to the color and shape of the boots and gloves and the overall puffiness of the coats. So when you look at it that way, the number of pilot Luke's isn't that bad. There have been 4 "snowspeeder" Lukes (including this one) and 3 X-wing Lukes; they're just re-released due to popularity so often that it might seem like more than that.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

After seeing the new images of wave 6, I still will only get the Weequay. The more I think about it, the more I like these non-themed waves. Instead of having to buy a whole wave at once every few months, I can just get the couple I want more frequently.

Re: star wars
Just saw the Toy Fair pictures. Looks like I'll be getting 8 or 9 figures between March and August...2 skiff guards, the ewok, Dr. Evazan, Walrusman, Bom Vimdin, Hoth Trooper, & Rebel Fleet trooper. I'm on the fence with the Bespin Han, but I'll probably end up getting him. He comes with welding stuff?
Its about time they updated Dr. Evazan and Walrusman.

It's from right before they go out to deal with the Mynocks; he and Chewie are inside working on the Falcon.Ran wrote:I'm on the fence with the Bespin Han, but I'll probably end up getting him. He comes with welding stuff?

Re: star wars
Have you guys been seeing the AOTC wave much lately? The ANH/ROTS wave showed up for a few days and then vanished, and I'm seeing more signs that the AOTC wave has been at a store not long before I was. I've found Obi-Wan, Zam, Kit, and the Super Battle Droid, but everything else is MIA; from the other wave, I've only seen Yoda once, but I want one to open and one to keep carded. Even stores that aren't full of clone troopers and sandtroopers don't seem to be cycling through them enough.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

Nope. I see lots of ESB stuff, a little ROTS stuff, and that's it.
I actually want a couple of AOTC figures, believe it or not.

I've seen all of the Episode II figures, eespecially the Anakin and Padme abominations, numerous times.
Hasbro should be ashamed of themselves for putting figures that shitty on cards. They look like dollar store rejects.
When I see figure like that, I'm happy I don't collect.

I haven't seen much around here lately. Only saw the ANH wave once. Mostly I see stuff from the first couple waves, and occasionally a couple ROTJ figures. Target hasn't been putting any new Star Wars or GI Joe out. The only thing new on the shelves seems to be the Thor figures.

What's wrong with them? From what I've seen, Anakin looks miles better than the 2002 version. Padmé figures tend to be salt shakers to a degree and it can be hard to see how they've progressed over the years, but I don't think that automatically makes it bad.Diabolical wrote:I've seen all of the Episode II figures, eespecially the Anakin and Padme abominations, numerous times.

They are poorly sculpted and look like one of the lesser figures we would have gotten in the 90s.

Hmm . . . the likenesses aren't great but I don't think they're that bad.
Anyway, tonight I found most of wave 6, despite not having everything I want from wave 4 or wave 5. This shit is kind of crazy.

Re: star wars
The distribution is SUCKING ASS on all three main Hasbro lines right now. (Okay, three of the four; I can't speak for Marvel.)
SW is coming out of order and hardly at all, while first-wave stuff still rots on pegs in large numbers.
GIJoe has shit-tons of early Destros, Snake Eyeses, and Storm Shadows rotting, as well as the more recent "Zartan who's only good for switching his head and calling him Raptor." It's incredibly rare to find any of the army builders or new figures.
Transformers actually is using the SKU for movie toys on the newest line. In case you haven't noticed, there's shit-tons of those snigtarded "twins" everygoddamnwhere, keeping the new stuff from hitting shelves in decent numbers.
Bad times. Bad times.

Re: star wars
I think senility is setting in. Tonight I went into the garage and was looking through my box of carded figures. Somehow I have 2 ESB carded Vaders. I remember buying one, but I have no idea how the 2nd Vader got in there. Will Target or Walmart take it back without a receipt?

Re: star wars
Target might, depending on the individual store, but it's technically against their policy. Wal-Mart should with no problem, though, as long as you've got your ID. I think you get three per year, or something.
