I don't have a Y-Wing yet. Never got around to buying any of the previous versions. It could very well be the last SW vehicle I buy (unless they make sandcrawler or a new speeder bike).

Some pics from comic con are making the rounds, as they do every year. I'm excited about one thing so far - they're delaying one of the waves until next year, meaning I will have to track down even fewer figures this year.

Seriously though, the new Tauntaun in vintage packaging is neat-o. Using a completely fucked up card for the Hoth Rebel Trooper however, is not. That's some bullshit, right there. (Yes, I do happen to "collect the cards" after the figures are open if they're a remake of a vintage card with the proper pic, suck it).

Found the slides on RS. There is very little new stuff shown that I will get. Ponda Baba, Hoth Rebel, Y-Wing (maybe), the WM exclusive R5 from TMP, and the Mon Calmari pilot. What happened to Wedge & Dr. Evazan? Am I forgetting any other OT figures they showed at Toy Fair?

The Wedge/Evazan wave was delayed until 2012. Almost all repaints until then! Gotta love that.

Wedge was released in a ROTJ wave re-release and is out there now, actually; he's just been crazy hard to find. He'll be re-released next year at some point.

But yeah, the Evazan wave (which also includes Aayla, Kithaba, a 501st Trooper, and Nom Anor) has been pushed back to next year. So after wave 7 (the current one with Logray and Bespin Han), there are only three more Vintage figures for the rest of the year - Bastila Shan, Ponda Baba, and the Hoth Trooper. Well, along with the Revenge of the Jedi cards, but there's nothing new for openers there. (There are no repaints to speak of, just repacks. Well, and a lot of stuff apart from the basic figures.)

Still, though, there are already 17 announced TVC figures for next January/February, in addition to 6 Walmart exclusive figures (and the Evazan wave, whenever that comes out). So it's not like the line is dying. I'd rather they go lighter and make sure everyone can find everything than have a ton of figures "released" before they address the current figure clog.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

Wasn't Wedge delayed once already? I probably won't even buy him since I got that Wedge X-Wing from Target last year.

I finally went back to the Toy Fair presentation. The other OT figures I was thinking of (aside from Evazan & Wedge) were the Rebel Blockade trooper, Bom Vimdim, Logray, & Kithaba.

Also went back through the SDCC presentation. Going through a second time generated a few questions.
There is a TIE Pilot and Endor Han. Those are just re-releases, right?
Is the Tauntaun new of just a repaint? (not that I need another)
Is General Cracken a background character from ROTJ?

Looks like you answered a couple of my questions while I was typing them. You should start one of those 1-900 psychic lines.

Hmm.... I knew that and have no idea why I called it the "Wedge/Evazan wave." :???:

Ran, the Tauntaun is all-new. It looks good enough that I'm leaning toward adding to my army of Hoth Lukes and Hoth Hans just to get it.

And for everyone, the Ben Quadinaros figure looks way better than you'd ever expect a Ben Quadinaros figure to look.

Does Ben Quadrinaros come with a PodRacer?

Because I bought the empty lot next door (its a full two acres) and turned it into the Tattooine Pod Raceway. It took me 14 months. I had to rent a backhoe to bring in all this dirt to sculpt the canyons. I've got a bunch of Tusken Raiders up on Dune Canyon Turn. I've got Aurra Sang standing up on the ridge. I've got Jawas down on the backstretch. And a bunch of old Fisher Price Adventure people in the stands by the finish line. But I'm just sitting around because I've only got two goddamn Pod Racers.

If it was Han's I might think about it. I have at least 2 Tauntauns, both Luke's. One from POTF2, the other from a TRU battle pack from the early 2000s. It has the guts that come out.

Come to think of it, I only saw the POTF2 Han Tauntaun once and didn't buy it. I'm not positive what the difference is anymore. Does one of them have a chipped horn?

yeah, one has a chipped horn IIRC.

When the hell can I buy a Qui-Gon on a TPM vintage card, along with a few others from that flick? I got 4 or 5 figures from the other 5 movies, yet nothing from TPM...are they saving them til next year's 3D re-release?
It's weird because after several years of not buying anything (even selling some stuff to thin the herd and refine my collection), here I am WANTING to buy more stuff but they aren't releasing it yet.
