Yeah, I'm going for the 2 disc (which I'll be able to pick up from work a couple days early) and that Wal Mart gift set. I'll end up giving the 1 disc version to someone as a gift, but I want that coin.

Wal-Mart is really bad about that. You'd think they'd realize that some people who want bonuses actually want special features, too. At least they've started including the freebies with widescreen versions now.

yeah, but that way they won't get dubG to buy both of them and figure out a way to pawn off one version of the movie.

Is anyone else disappointed that the biggest movie of the year got shafted in the DVD special features department? They should have just slapped "You're gonna be double dipping on this one, motherfucker!" on the case. By the way, I didn't end up getting the Wal Mart pack after all. The comic was just a reprint of The Joker's first appearance and the coin would have been cool had it not had a huge imprint that said "COPY" on it. As if anyone would think it was a real coin.

Batman Begins Special Features weren't all that great either, so I'm not too surprised. But I was hoping for something like a decent documentary (at least 30 minutes) on The Joker and his history and various incarnations. I was also shocked not too see some sort of Heath Ledger tribute.
Some people are crying about no deleted scenes. It was over 2 1/2 hours long! I can't imagine there was too much deleted. Maybe bits a pieces of extended scenes with throw away dialogue, but not entire scenes.

I'm still getting the Wal-Mart version. Since my mom doesn't like the special features I talked her into getting hers at Wal-Mart and sending me the comic and coin.

Batman goes Bale-istic with profane tirade on crew

Post by Newsbot »

Christian Bale can be heard in newly surfaced audio delivering a long, profanity-laced verbal thrashing to a cinematographer and anyone who tried to calm him down on the set of the upcoming "Terminator Salvation."

The three-minute clip was posted Monday on the Web site TMZ.com.

In it, the actor who portrayed Batman in "The Dark Knight" rails against cinematographer Shane Hurlbut for apparently walking behind co-star Bryce Dallas Howard and through Bale's line of sight, considered a film-set foul.

"If you do it one more time I ain't walking on this set if you're still hired!" Bale howls in one of the few publishable moments from the clip.

Later, he screams: "Do you want me to go and trash your lights? Do you want me to go and trash them? ... Then why are you trashing my scene?"

The incident took place last July on the set at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico, days before Bale would face assault allegations from his mother and sister in London. Charges were never filed because his family did not want to press the matter and because prosecutors said there was a lack of sufficient evidence.

Bale's is the only voice that is audible on the tape, though he's clearly responding to Hurlbut, the film's director McG, and others trying to persuade him to relax.

"Let's not take a (expletive) minute! Let's go again!" he yells at one point.

A phone message left early Tuesday with a publicist for the 35-year-old actor wasn't immediately returned. What's the matter, mother (expletive), too busy slapping around your mom to return my calls?

Ohhhh...maybe just a bit too soon, Cae. It's not too soon for John Lennon jokes though so those are open season.

Bale is a two note actor anyway. I don't understand why people cream their knickers over him. not to mention the fact he has a lissssssp.
I have never read any of your posts, but from what I can learn I should say that for people who like the kind of posts you deliver, they are just the kind of posts such people like.

It wasn't a Heath Ledger Suicide joke, it was a snip at the speculation in the media that he killed himself.

Wrestler Director Backs Bale

5 February 2009 4:15 AM, PST

The Wrestler director Darren Aronofsky has defended Christian Bale over a taped on-set rant which was recently leaked on the Internet. The Dark Knight star can be heard launching a foul-mouthed tirade against a crewmember on the set of new movie Terminator Salvation.

But Aronofsky has backed the actor over the outburst and called the four-minute rant, which includes the use of the F-word 35 times, "reasonable".

He says, "I think he was right. I don't think he was out of line. It is a sacred time between action and cut.

"Sets are very, very high-powered places where things go awry all the time and emotions are high. People are out there working really hard and exposing themselves, especially actors, and they need to be protected.

"Although it's never good to lose your temper that bad for obvious reasons, we don't know what scene he was doing. He could have been doing a deeply, deeply intense emotional scene."
Seriously. Actors need to be protected. Wasn't it not to long ago that actors were kind of the slums of society, the rejects. I mean heck, didn't the kids in drama club get picked on. Oh they're all so frickin' fragile! When actors are expected to tell us how to vote, how to dress, what to eat, what to care about...than fuck it they're all fair game. Stick your head out, you just might get shot.

(no I'm not going to assassinate anyone {today} it's just a figure of speech)
