Last week:
All-New X-Men #9 - Covered last week by D.S.
Daredevil #24 - Also covered last week by D.S.
Deadpool #6 - Wade finishes killing the resurrected Presidents.
Nightwing #18 - While the Joker has left his life in shambles, Dick grieves over Damien and finds out Tony Zucco is alive.
This week:
Batman: The Dark Knight #18 - The Mad Hatter searches for his Alice and Bruce revels his identity to yet another woman.
Batman Incorporated #9 - The second half of Robin's death and the aftermath. It's Morrison so it jumps all over the fucking place and makes no sense.
Fury: My War Gone By #10 - Fury meets Barracuda.
Guardians of the Galaxy #1 - The team meets up with Iron Man while intercepting an attack on Earth.
Thunderbolts #7 - Deadpool is jealous of Elektra and "Frank's*" relationship and the team doesn't trust Ross.
Uncanny Avengers #5 - Wonder Man and Wasp arrive to help the team with Public Relations (huh?) and Logan recruits Sunfire. Grim Reaper attacks the team at a press conference.
*With the way War Zone ended, I'm sayin' the real Frank is still stuck in Stark's prison. This is an impostor.

Is he a black Frankenstein monster who's brought back from the dead as an angel with a symbiote that looks like Captain America's costume?
Then he's clearly an impostor.
(Yeah, DB, I imagine you feel the same way about Frank that I do about Bruce.)

At least all that Punisher stuff was undone.
As for Bats, the good news is the writers seem to be able to pick and choose if they want to stick to pre-New 52 canon or not (for the most part).

Tim Drake was never Robin? Bruce has a zombie brother who leads an organization that has ruled Gotham for centuries and planned to make Dick their zombie ninja assassin?
Seems like the current writers are only making things worse.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?
A dozen this week. One First Issue.
Age of Ultron 3. The NYC team go forward with their crappy plan. We take a short break to see what Red Hulk, Black Panther, and Taskmaster are doing in Chicago. Turns out the first two are dying so TMast can steal an Ultron head. Meanwhile, back in NYC the badguy is....Vision?!?
Fantastic Four 5AU. See the "AU" there? That indicates its an Age of Ultron tie in and not the actual FF 5, which came out a couple weeks ago. This is about how the FF got roped into AoU. Everybody except Sue dies, and Franklin and Val are stranded out in SpaceTime all alone. A pretty bleak ending. They also tacked an extra buck onto the price. Assholes.
Superior Otto 6AU. Another AU tie in. In AoU, Otto has to break into what's left of Horizon to find a Macguffin Doomsday Device for Stark to use. Instead he gets all arrogant and tries defeating Ultron single handed. Which doesn't work out. Otto learns a valuable lesson about trust.
Young Avengers 3. The kids get fake IDs from Loki and go hang out in a bar. Their "parents" find them.
Gambit 10. Remy and Joelle break into a decommissioned Hydra Base to find a concoction that could save Joelle's terminally ill daughter's life. At least, that's the bs she spins to Remy. She probably lying. Anyway, they fight some hydra Frankenstein goons and blow up the entire installation with panache. Then Rogue shows up. Heh. Ex-GFs are always fun.
FF 5. The absolute highlight of the issue was Willy Lumpkin teaching "Birds" and "Bees" to the students. I laughed for like ten minutes just based on one panel. Allred's artwork is great as always.
Guardians of the Galaxy 1. FIRST ISSUE(not counting the 0.1 issue). I'm gonna have to find a suitable shortening of the title, because that's too much to type out once a month. Anyhoo, Starlord gets into a fight with his old man, the king of the Spartax Empire. He has "forbidden" any interstellar Empires from touching Earth. Which pretty much paints a big ol' target on it.
Scarlet Spider 15. Kaine devolves into the "Other" (ugh) and rescues Aracely from the Lobos.
Thundebolts 7. Daniel Way is such a goddamn shitty writer. I only checked in because Phil Noto is on art. I made a mistake. Elektra is gonna be pissed when she finds out she's been letting The Chameleon stick his penis in her, because that clearly isn't Frank. Also I think there's an army of Gamma Powered Crimson Dynamos on the last page.
Transformers RID 15. After getting reamed in their robot asses last issue, the Autobots scramble to mount a resistance. Too much awesome to spoil here. I wish certain people didn't TradeWait this shit.
Winter Soldier 16. I dropped this after Bru left, but I needed to round up to 12 books(which is why TBolts also made it home) so now I'm missing an issue. Anyway, it's Bucky and some undercover Soviet SHIELD agent and some kids on a Red Room training island who've gone all Lord of the Flies and some little girl who's mom Bucky killed in the 80s and now she's a SuperVillain.
Astonishing X-Men 60. Part of that X-Termination crossover. Haven't read it yet.

I wish those same people still had a comic shop that didn't suck ass anywhere within an hour of their home.DeckardSmith wrote:Transformers RID 15. Would mentioning there's a Gestalt fight without saying which Gestalts are fighting be spoiling the issue?

I made the point of looking at The Buy Pile, so I can guess who one is (Devastator). Since they're on Cybertron, I have an inkling of who the other (assuming it's just one) would be (Superion).

Part of the twist of the last few issues is WHO is the sixth part of Devastator, since Scrapper is dead.anarky wrote:I made the point of looking at The Buy Pile, so I can guess who one is (Devastator). I wish. Scrounge is awesome. What's the deal with him? Is he mired in some complicated ownership issues because he was an original character intro'd in the Marvel series?

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?
Nope. Any character introduced in either Joe or TF comics is owned by Hasbro, which is why they made sure to get Circuit Breaker and Death's Head to cameo in other books first. That's why it was no problem at all for them to do figures of Kwinn, Jhiaxxus, Straxus, Hard Master, Fred VII, Scarface, Wraith, and Kamakura (though they skirted a Dr. Who character who was so fucking obscure they may as well not have bothered by renaming Straxus). If this weren't the case, Marvel would own the fucking Baroness (who Hama had to fight to get them to let him include, and who appeared in the comic a year or so before she had a figure). Hasbro owns Scrounge, Billy, all the NeoKnights except Circuit Breaker, the White Clown, Emirate Xaaron, Pale Peony, the Last Autobot, Shooter, and so many other characters I'd kill to get in plastic form.
