How I realized I was over Star Wars completely

movies are cool. here is a place to talk about how cool they are. or maybe how much they suck, sometimes. like that fucking piece of shit 'mac and me'. worst fucking movie ever, a two-hour ad for fucking coca-cola.

If JJ was setting Rey's parents to be nobody special, then he played us all for fools, setting up all those bullshit clues that her lineage was special, and very possibly a Skywalker.

If you don't like a movie, why the hell would you harass an actor from that film to the point they delete their social media?

It just occurred to me that Trump is not going to be happy that I'm trading with a Canadian.

Those are my best cards by far. Thank you! I have completed some easy white level sets so far, have to figure out what's next. I think base 5 white is my next project.

TLJ sucks ass, but its not going anywhere. The damage is done. Best we can hope for now is a course correction from JJ.

The capacitor in our main TV went out a couple weeks ago. It was cheaper to buy a new 50" UHD TV than repair it.

Today I watched parts of ROTS and ROTJ on it for the first time. They really looked weird.

I guess i am late to the party- have not seen solo but will do when it is released non-theatre-like

As jj mentioned a few pages back, we saw TLJ together, along with my gf, and it was jj's second viewing, just for context

The film blew me the fuck away on every level- several times i was shocked and looked over to jj who just smiled and said "yup" or " I know" and that was all that could be said about whatever had just transpired.

Oddly i think most of the true outrage against the film comes from people who resent what, to me, seemed to be the core message of the film- "time to grow up, kids"

I think my perspective is strongly coloured by what i have been through in life, and tempered by the fact that i have a bunch of buddies in the 65+ age group and they have a tendency to die off at an alarming rate as time moves along, so the whole story of maturing in the shadows of death kinda hit me where it counts
