Avengers 37 was good. Slowly, the fog begins to lift. Deodato has drawn Cap to look about 70 - I wonder if that's just his take on the character or if something happens to Steve to bring him a smidge closer to his actual age.....

In Remender's run, Steve loses the super soldier serum and ages. That's why Sam Wilson is the new Cap. Steve is now like the armchair head of the Avengers. It will be reversed at some point, but for now Cap is OLD.

Ah ok. Have not been reading Cap obviously, thanks for the clarification. Not sure if a brief explanation was included in either Avengers book, but if it was it went over my head (as per usual).

I don't think it's been mentioned in any recap pages. I only sussed it because I read so many Marvel books and old Steve has been in them here and there. It was the same way with Wolverine losing his healing factor.

I just read something about Marvel getting an ex pro-wrestler to write a story a teenage Thor for Thor Annual #1.

The "new Thor" is a teenaged girl - I'll check & see who's writing the annual.... looks like CM Punk is going to do one of the stories upon checking. Isn't he still a wrestler?

Is she a teenager? I thought she was an adult.

You're probably right, I was just surmising she was younger based on Ran's post above... maybe he'll write about teenaged boy Thor pulling the goalie thinking about the Enchantress. I know I was back then.

Based on reading the second issue I'm surmising the new Thor is the SHIELD Agent Thor was tapping from the previous series. Roz or something. I have no idea how she got to the moon though.

Apparently he quit wrestling. He still had time on his contract, but decided he had enough. The article I saw didn't specify Thor's gender.

What's so funny about this is that they're hyping this as a new, novel way of not rebooting....
But it's exactly what DC does to reboot every ten years or so since COIE.
What's the logic behind DC and Marvel doing this shit? They're supposedly trying to bring in new readers, who they don't actually court. But they'll wind up chasing away longtime readers.
Is it really just Warner and Disney saying, "Fuck it, we don't want comics, but we can't simply axe them all at once so we need to alienate everyone first"?

So Fantastic Four is reverting to the original numbering once again - after 14 comes 642. What I don't understand is why - isn't the whole thing reverting to all new #1s in a few months? Are they just hoping to cash in on a double sized 650 before the relaunch? I really, really hate this stunt.

Marvel's numbering is officially more wacked than IDW's.
