Venom was not good.
From Tom Hardy sounding like he had a disability to the "let's have every bit of CGI in darkness so we can cover the fact that it looks like CGI circa 2002" to the thin, simplistic plot, complete with an easily dispatched bad guy that is a bigger, badder version of the "hero" to not even showing the titular character until an hour into the movie, it was a bit of a chore to sit through.

I guess this could go in the DC area, but I'll put it here because DC is terrible.

Could be DC's first legitimately good movie.

Turns out The Immortal Iron Fist is mortal, as it is the first Netflix/Marvel show to be cancelled.

Unfortunate, as I've heard season 2 is pretty good. I'm still finishing Luke Cage season 2, so it's next.

But Marvel was quick to say Danny Rand isn't going away, so maybe this could lead to a Heroes for Hire series.

I can see them doing a Marvel Knights type show that integrates all, or most, of the characters.

It’s getting hard to sustain entire seasons of these characters. I had trouble getting thru Jessica Jones season 2. And I haven’t even started Cage 2 or Iron Fist 2.

Like The Defenders?

The main problem is 13 episodes, which is 3 too many, IMO.
10 episodes (or less, if necessary) is far better to tell a tight story without having to stretch it out or have any filler episodes.
Iron Fist season 2 had only 10 and was far better, apparently.

Combining Luke Cage and Iron Fist is a no-brainer. Add Misty Knight and Colleen Wing as Daughters of the Dragon, and boom.

Defenders, in my head, is reserved for a Dr Strange/Hulk/Namor/Silver Surfer team up film.

Don’t like that they co-opted the name for their street level team because it wasn’t being “used” at the time.

I don't really discuss superhero movies with my kids because I'm not up to date on them, plus I didn't think they pay much attention to them. They are into the DC Flash and Supergirl TV shows, but that's was about it.

My oldest daughter had to do something for school on Saturday. I pick her up afterwards and we decide to stop by the mall on the way home. We went into the Disney store look around. Both of my kids end up over by a shelf where there were a bunch of coffee mugs. There was one weird looking yellow one, and after a minute, I realized it was an infinity gauntlet mug. My younger daughter asks what it is. My older daughter says, "I think that is from the Avengers movie where everyone dies". I say "If everyone is dead, it is really going to be hard for them to make a sequel". She responds, "They will probably just magically come back to life."

Pure speculation: avengers 4 - secret wars? Could the dispparated folks be someplace else and forced to fight each other for the right to return to life?

Reading a loot of rumors/"leaks" lately about Avengers 4, and potential BIG spoilers ahead.

Avengers: Annihilation ot The Last Avenger (the latter seems to be the most likely).
Also,
The film starts 5 years after Infinity War. The stranded Rocket is now an Avenger (based on an image leak). Time travel is involved, based on set pics of Ant-Man at (a recreation of) the battle of New York. There could be a villain more dangerous than Thanos.

So, is the movie like half an hour long?

This was on the Youtube page:
On December 12, Deadpool 2 is back in theaters with zero F’s given

To kick off the holiday season audiences of almost all ages will soon be able to enjoy the Merc with the Mouth’s reimagining of Deadpool 2 filtered through the prism of childlike innocence.

"Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006," Ryan Reynolds told Deadline. "I've said no since 2006. Now, this one time, I said 'Yes' on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining..."

Fred Savage will join Reynolds in new scenes for ONCE UPON A DEADPOOL in an homage to Savage's starring role in the 1987 bedtime-story classic THE PRINCESS BRIDE. Fred remarked, “while my participation in this film was anything but voluntary, I am happy to learn that Fudge Cancer will be the beneficiary of this shameless cash grab”

For every ticket sold, $1 will go to the charity Fudge Cancer - previously known as Fuck Cancer, who have graciously changed their name to be more PG-13 friendly for the 12 days of Once Upon A Deadpool’s release.
