Only 8 books this week. Half of which are SW. And one Final Issue finally comes out.

Ant-Man Annual 1. Since Hank Pym "died" in the recent OGN Rage of Ultron, Scott and Jan reminisce about Scott's last team up with Hank and why Hank let Scott keep the Ant-Man uniform all those years ago. Also introduces te newest Giant-Man.

Battleworld 3. SW! Mojo sets up a death match between ALL the Wolverines on Battleworld, but one pacifist Logan refuses to participate. In the second story, a Wild West Deadpool wants Devil Dinosaur as his steed and crossed an erudite Moon Boy to do it.

Capt Britain and the Mighty Defenders 1. SW! A world were Yinsen became Iron Man and Tony Stark died. Yinsen leads a team of Defenders to protect his realm. Faiza Hussain shows up wielding Excalibur and a story about how Battleworld and Doom aren't real and there was something before all this. Blasphemy! Good stuff from Al Ewing.

Guardians of Knowhere 1. Thor Angela shows up on Knowhere looking for Gamora, who has also realized Doom's Battleworld isn't what it should be.

Hawkguy 22. FINAL ISSUE. The very very very long awaited conclusion to Fraction and Aja's wonderful series. Now we can say goodbye and move on. I seriously almost bought two copies.

Moon Knight 17. I love how Moon Knight is just totally ignoring SW and doing it's own thing.

Siege 1. SW! Abigail Brand is in charge of the wall between the decent realms of Battleworld and the zombie infested wastelands of the south (somebody at Marvel's been reading Game of Thrones). It's all good until a time traveling Kang shows up and says the wall falls in 20 days. The countdown begins...

Silver Surfer 17. Last Days tie in. Everything in the multiverse is GONE. It's up to Norrin, Dawn, Glorian, Zee, and the Shaper of Worlds, trapped in a null pocket dimension to put everything back the way it was.

By my count, there have been 42 new Secret Wars related series so far.

I've bought 25 series. And of those I've only picked up 10 of the following issues.

Just for comparison I'm at the following for SW:

Main Series 1-4 plus 9 first issues and 5 second issues (but I don't plan on dropping any of my series, I will get the second issues for all 9 - just not sure how many more firsts I'll be getting).

I'm getting more SW books only because most of the regular series have ended and I have the extra cash to sample stuff. But I'm not being a completist and I'm counting on the issues being relatively easy to find cheap down the road.

Yeah I've been kinda throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks as well. I totally misfired on Xtinction Agenda - I don't even think I've read that original story as the last time I looked in my boxes those issues were all still polybagged. I think I likely should have chosen Inferno (or gone outside the X entirely and bought the Ennis book).

I might have found the first SW title I'm going to drop after 1 issue - the Korvac Saga. Thomas' art is way better & I really didn't give a shit about what happened.

I have a question. Do you guys seriously read all of these comics you get on a weekly basis? Or do you get 'em and just put 'em away? I see some of these lists are a mile long and wonder where you get the time.

I do, but I don't read nearly as many as DS.

And my list gets smaller and smaller all the time because Marvel and DC keep shitting on themselves.

They only take around 10 min each to read. Basically every time I update the BM thread I've read another comic or 2.

I do read mine. There are a few I save for later, but read most immediately.

Having met Tom and JJ, I have no doubt they read theirs, either. I assume the same about DB, but you know him better than I do.

I have tons I haven't read, admittedly. Those are to keep me entertained during my retirement. ;)

12 books this week. A couple First issues. Only a couple SW issues.

GIJoe ARAH 216. Snake Eyes 2.0 sends Cobra Commander a message. Leave me alone. They only had the Sub cover which was an homage to the EC comics of the 50s. I would've preferred the regular cover, but my guy only orders like 2 copies and they were both the alternate.

Hawkeye 4. Mostly flashback about how Clint and Barney became criminals working for the circus.

Loki 16. Last Days tie in. The forces of Asgard and Hel clash one final epic time as the world ends and Loki breaks the cycle of his story. Might be the final issue. Kinda ambiguous.

Magneto 20. Last Days tie in. Magneto tries to prevent the incursion by stealing Lorna's powers.

Old Man Logan 3. SW! Logan bounces from domain to domain trying to figure out why Doom is in charge of Battleworld. Lovely art.

Punisher 20. FINAL ISSUE. Last Days tie in. This piece of shit series is finally over. I submit the entire thing be stricken from the record.

Spider-Woman 9. Jess, Ben Urich, and Porcupine go on a road trip across America fighting bad guys.

Star Lord and Kitty Pryde 1. SW! Star Lord(the "real" one from the lifeboat) is hiding out after the events of SW 4 and meets a Kityy Pryde that works for Doom who is looking for anomalies...like Star Lord.

Star Trek/Green Lantern 1. Eh. I needed a 12th book and it had a cool cover.

Transformers RID 43. I am way behind on reading TF books.

TF Robots In Disguise 1. First Issue based on the cartoon series that picks up after Prime. It was alright but I don't think I'll be getting more.

Uncanny X-Men 35. Yes, there was an issue 35 after all. The students try to become a superhero team and Goldballs becomes an internet sensation and does the talk shows. Until people find out he's a mutant and gets stabbed in the throat. Then the kids show up at the JGS asking for help. To be continued in issue 600.

I think I'm 3 weeks behind, but am going tomorrow to get caught up. Didn't Uncanny 34 also say "to be continued in UXM 600"??? I guess every issue will be to some extent.

Astro City 25
Lando 1
DD16
GI Joe Death of Snake Eyes part 4
Uncanny 35
Surfer 13
E is for Extinction 1 (since I left Squad Sinister #2 on the shelf)
Future Imperfect 3 (I put off reading the first 2, but they turned out to be pretty good actually)
Inhumans 3 (might there be.... action...... this issue??? I can dream....)
Guardians of Knowhere 1
SL & Kitty 1
Old Man Logan 3
an extra copy of Sandman Prelude 5, I asked my main guy to order one then found one at a diff store... sure enough 4 weeks later it shows up. Ah well.

EDITED: I go back & check EP's lists to make sure I didn't miss anything - sure enough I'm down copies of ASM Renew your vows 2 and SW Civil War 1. I hummed & hawed about Siege as well, so I may grab that if I go back.
