So they've given Mike Costa an Avengers book, which I didn't realize until I looked at this week's releases & checked to see it was the same writer. The book is up to #3 - any good? Are we expecting him to be "the Avengers guy" once Secret Wars finishes up? And if so, any work on what Hickman will be tasked with? Sorry, I need to learn to CBR or something ><

Millennium has been decent. It's coming out weekly which is why it's already on #3.

The only confirmed Avengers book post-SW is Mark Waid's All New All Different. But given the prolific expanse of Avengers titles, I'm sure there's 3 or 4 other writers lined up. My money is on Al Ewing getting one.

I've read that Hickman is taking a break and working on his own creator owned stuff after SW is done. He wanted to go out with a bang at Marvel. But that may have changed. I'm sure whatever he asked for Marvel would give him at this point. He could write a team up book with U.S.1 and Dr. Bong and I'd be there.

Thanks. I'll hum & haw a little bit, then likely buy a full run if I can get them all at once. If I have to chase them I don't think I'll bother. Where are you finding the info about what's coming out after secret wars? I look around periodically but it seems hush hush or something.

ANAD is their FCBD issue.

But yeah, they've been mostly mum on what's post-SW so as not to detract from the event itself. It's kind of like Age of Apocalypse back in the 90s. Marvel was trying to imply that all the X-books were gone for good. This is like that but 100x bigger.

The Hickman stuff is just from interviews he's given, mostly last year, about ending his Avengers runs and taking a break from superhero stuff.

Did another look & that's all I'm seeing - the Uncanny Inhumans & All New Avengers for FCBD and confirmed as ongoing.

Tomorrow's all-new x-men reveals that young iceman is gay, but somehow current iceman isn't.

How's that work? Grew out of the gay? :???:

So does everyone need to be retconned into a gay? It seems like every other month someone is turning up gay or bi.

And if you have a problem with them overturning 50 years of continuity, then obviously you're a homophobe.

Also, adult Bobby being NOT gay makes it seem like a choice. Which it's not.

Maybe original Bobby is "Questioning" or whatever the Q stands for & just hasn't dealt with it yet? I wonder if new Bobby will drag original Bobby out of the closet, then drag him back into the closet for some weird incestuous ho-my-secshul action?

The scene is between Jean and Bobby and young Bobby says that older Bobby is straight. Jean verifies this because of her telepathy.

I guess if you time travel, you have a 1 in 5 chance of turning gay.

Jargo is now busy building Slicker a time machine.

The most rational explanation is that the time traveling X-kids are simply from an alternate dimension and not actually the time displaced 616 kids. Despite what Marvel insists.

Yeah, adult Bobby's always been straight. This really makes it look like it's a choice, or at least environmental.

Or, like you said, alternate reality.

Finished Avengers 44 & NAvengers 33. So is it the Ultimate earth that Thanos & Maximus wound up on? And Tony & Steve were physically fighting in while the 616 versions were talking? I'm assuming it must be, but I honestly have no understanding of the Ultimate Universe to know for sure. ><

No, that was 616 Steve and Tony fighting.

Also, I just read Secret Wars #1.

Ho. Ly. Fuck.

RIP Marvel U.
