Just a Girl was released after 1995 (96?) and Carol wouldn't know Come As You Are since she was gone from 89-95.
Not to mention the vinyl record essentially died out (until recently) around 1988-9, so "Come As You Are" playing on a record player seemed a weird choice.
I thought "Just a Girl" was a terrible use of the song. It was heavy-handed, and seemed like they were trying to mimic the use of "Immigrant Song" in Thor Ragnarok. Difference being it worked in Ragnarok and not here.
And would it have been too much to hear some goddamned Nine Inch Nails, Guns 'n Roses, Bush, or PJ Harvey, since we saw so much of their imagery?

In case you were trying to draw conclusions from the Endgame trailer....
If you were worried that the trailer for Avengers: Endgame had been manipulated to make you think certain things are happening in the upcoming movie that are, in fact, red herrings and lies, guess what? You’re right! This week, directors Anthony and Joe Russo confirmed that the various trailer for Avengers: Endgame are intentionally manipulated to not only preserve big twists in the movie but to misdirect fans ahead of time.
I still want that hero shot of Cap and friends running toward the camera to be in the movie, dammit!

This behavior kinda ruins trailers for me. I watched the Deadwood one & was super excited.... until I remembered it might be kibbled together from unused snippets. I haven't bothered with the last couple of GoT ones either.

Ha! What if the big twist was that the movie wasn’t called “Endgame” but revealing the actual title might’ve given away something.

Supposedly Endgame is going to be 3 hours long. As if there wasn't already enough reasons for you guys to wear adult diapers when you go to see it.

We’ve been doing a running joke about how they’ll fuck up the ‘Avengers Assemble’ moment by saying it wrong and pissing off billions of fanboys.
‘Avengers...muster!’
‘Avengers...Come together. Right now.’
‘Avengers...gather!’
‘Avengers...convene!’

In a mere 20 days, Capt Marvel has reached $330M+ domestically and thus has surpassed the total BO of Superman Vs Batman.

Early reviews are coming in. It’s scoring 95-98 on Rotten Tomatoes.
I’m gonna avoid the internet until Sunday when I go see it. I don’t want to be spoiled.

I'm worried I'm going to get spoiled. As a matter of fact I'm damned near sure of it. I'm so used to having my son around to go whenever I want with him that I have no idea how to deal with this. I'm thinking by myself, 1100 am show saturday. Fuck it.

Tomorrow at 6 if we can get in. It's a local theater that doesn't do pre-sales, so I have to get in line.
Shouldn't be too bad. Everyone jumps on the gigantic multiplex in the next town and people don't like this one because the screen is slightly smaller. I say if I can get four tickets, two popcorn, and two drinks for cheaper than two tickets, plus not have to fuck with assigned seating, I'm all over that. Especially since most movies I want to see in a theater are ones I'll want to buy on blu-ray.

Probably Sunday morning for me since I dragged my feet until it was too late and I ended up having to work tonight until 9:30, and both jobs Friday and Saturday.
