The last TPB of Fables was also it's final issue. The story got so big for issue 150, it turned into a Trade. Yowza.

16 books this week. 3 SW and 7 First Issues.

All New All Different Avengers 1.First Issue. And henceforth just referred to as Avengers. Mark Waid's flagship Avengers begins. Stark and Sam Wilson lament that there's no actual Avengers team anymore. I'm assuming that's a meta injoke. Some alien shows up in the recently sold Avengers Tower and a new team sorta forms.

Uncanny Avengers 2. Boston is infested with a plant virus and the Avengers suck at stopping it. Cable is in the future and needs to come back and fix things.

Carnage 1. First Issue. Gerry Conway delves into the crazy that is Cletus Kassady. Mike Perkins on art? I'm in.

GIJoe ARAH 219. Cobra World Order begins. Sean officially takes the mantle of SE.

Hawkeye 1. First Issue. Kate breaks up team Hawkeye. 20 years from now, Kate has to reunite team Hawkeye.

Illuminati 1. First Issue. Titania is trying to go straight but society won't let her. The Hood recruits her into a new super villain team.

Marvel Super Hero Spectacular Oneshot. The Avengers, Guardians, and Spidey fight an interstellar circus.

Secret Wars 7. The battle against Doom begins.

Spider-Gwen 2. Capt America helps Gwen stop the Lizards and it's starting to come out that maybe Gwen didn't kill Peter after all.

Spidey 2099 3. Miguel fights Dr. Cronos and discovers yet another secret evil society running around the Marvel U. Oye.

Squadron Sinister 4. SW! The Squadron all backstab each other to the logical conclusion of this series. There's a great homage to Frank Miller's TDKR as Nightwing takes on Hyperion.

Darth Vader 12. Vader heads towards the confrontation with Skywalker in the upcoming Vader Down crossover.

Thors 4. SW! The murder mystery is solved. And then Jane Foster Thor from the lifeboat shows up and recruits all the Thors to take on Doom over in SW 7.

Ultimates 1. First Issue. A pretty kickass team of heroes bands together to solve the problem of Galactus' hunger.

Web Warriors 1. First Issue. The SpiderVerse team of Spideys finds there's a interdimensional team of Electros stealing silver across the multiverse. Yawn.

Wolverine 1. First Issue. Laura Kinney AKA X-23 is Wolverine now and she's tracking down assassin clones of herself with the help of her boyfriend, the time displaced Warren Worthington with his cosmically enhanced wings he got during the Black Vortex event last year.

In Uncanny Avengers 2, Johnny Storm goes to MIT to ask a bunch of students for help and one of them asks if any of Reed Richards papers would be published posthumously. So...

... me neither, up until the very last page. I think the whole thing was a setup job, trying to put us to sleep just for that - and it worked on me like a charm.

SW 7 (of 9 no less, they extended the series by an issue meaning it might last until December of 2017 at this point)
Infinity Gauntlet 5
Thors 4
GI Joe Cobra World Order 1
Waid Avengers 1
Darth Vader 5

MISSED: Cap White 4

16 more books this week. I really gotta pare that down. Shit's expensive yo. Anyway, 7 more First Issues, several 2nd and 3rd issues, and only one (sorta) SW book.

Ant-Man 2. Darla Deering is back and gets Scott to break up with her during a supervillain fight for her new reality TV series. In the present Scott is still in prison.

New Avengers 3. The Kree and Skrulls need Hulking to come back and rule their new super cosmic empire.

Uncanny Avengers Annual 1. Of course it's a #1. It's an annual. Also...a fucking annual? There've been like 2 issues of the series. Also, it's about a bunch of stupid magic users from the 1940s that nobody has ever heard of. And it was written by Robinson. And it was $5. In short, I detested it and didn't even finish it.

Black Knight 1. First Issue. Sooo...BK is trapped on Wierdworld and he's their new king and he's addicted to killing with his sword so he refuses to use it. There's so much backstory here, I feel like I missed an entire previous run of a book somewhere. Dropped.

Capt America 3. Karl Malus survived being eaten by Carnage and is now some sort of symbiote hybrid and he turned Sam into CapWolf and turned some other guy into a Redwing Falcon hybrid bird guy. I'm assuming that guy will become the new Falcon down the road.

Deadpool 2. DP's new team gets a cease and desist letter from Cage about using the H4H name. They roust a bunch of squatters for an evil landlord. And DP might not be DP. So where's the real DP?

Inhumans 2. Holy shit! This book just got awesome because Charles Soule finally used time traveling Kang correctly. Tense, high octane, high stakes issue. And fantastic McNiven art to boot.

Ms Marvel 1. First Issue. This issue was mostly about the boy who loves Ms Marvel getting a new GF because Kamala shot him down in the final issue of her last series. Also, it was $5 because Marvel knew all her fans would pony up the extra buck. Not cool, Marvel.

Secret Wars Too Oneshot. Hilarious What The??! style spoof issue. Among other short stories is Hickman ripping on his own event. Fucking hilarious. Also explains how D-Man is still alive.

Spider-Woman 1. First Issue. Jessica is pregnant and can't fight crime anymore. So it's the adventures of a former superhero waddling around and eating ice cream. $4 well spent.

Star Lord 1. First Issue. It's like StarLord Year One I guess? When does this take place? Peter was part of an astronaut program trying to get a Kree fighter jet to go to warp and he steals it after he gets kicked out. What made me decide to drop it was seeing movie redneck Yondu on the cover to issue 2 next month. Nope.

Star Wars 12. Everybody reunites on Nar Shadaa. Seeing everybody with lightsabers was such a fanwank moment.

Vader Down Oneshot. Vader goes looking for Luke on a backwater system and finds the entire fucking Rebellion. After shooting down about 500 X-Wings singlehandedly, he eventually gets shot down and is surrounded by about 30,000 rebels. Thus begins the Vader Down crossover.

Mighty Thor 1. First Issue. Every time Jane turns into Thor, the magic dispels all the chemo in her body, but not the cancer. So being Thor is what's killing her.

Transformers 47. There is literally too much going on this book right now to summarize. It's awesome.

Extraordinary X-Men 2. I'm gonna shorten that to Extra from now on. So Scott is "officially" dead but I don't believe it. Storm continues to recruit X-Men. Forge put Cerebro in a Sentinel body. X-Haven is in Limbo protected by Magick's spells. Teen Jeannie finds Old Man Logan.

Transformers vs G.I. Joe Vol. 2: A mess. Just a mess. The first volume had just enough charm to respect the work that went into it. This is sloppy, disjointed, and reads like a bad acid trip. When Page 1 doesn't even connect to Page 2 and Page 3 seems like you've missed an entire issue, there's something wrong. I just want to know what Scioli has on the Hasbro brass, because this shit shouldn't have been approved Needless to say, dropped.

Yeah I've bought the last half dozen issues but I don't think I've read any of them. Apparently they destroyed Earth. I keep hoping it gets cancelled soon so I'll have a full run but I won't have to buy it anymore.

The first volume at least had pages that led directly from one to another. This is just batshit all over the fucking place. Like there's a one-page thing done as an activity book that has Snake Eyes cut off Billy's arms and legs for no reason, then, suddenly, later in the book, he's presenting Snake Eyes' body to Cobra Commander, who's no longer dead. Or how Snake Eyes and Duke just suddenly show up on Cybertron. Really, there's no point reading it, because I'm not even sure getting the whole thing and reading out of order would make it make any sense.

Maybe it's being published as some sort of sponge to keep any potential suck out of formerly-RiD, MTMTE, and TAA1.

16 more books this week. Five First Issues. Three Final Issues. One SW related book.

DKiii 1. Ugh. I know. I'm weak. I shouldn't have ponied up $5.99 for this but my morbid curiosity got the better of me. Wonder Woman shows her boob. Azz and Kubert ape Miller fairly decent. Not sure this is worth $50 for 8 issues though.

Carnage 2. FBI agents are trapped in a mine cave in with Carnage. Eddie Brock is sent in to rescue them. John Jameson turns into Man-Wolf.

GIJoe ARAH 220. Cobra World Order continues. An emergency for Duke prompts Cobra to inadvertently up their timetable and start their whatever it is.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2. The last Accuser blames the GoGs for Hala blowing up and she might've blown up Spartax in retaliation. It was kinda confusing.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur 1. First Issue. Lunella Lafayette is a brilliant bullied schoolgirl trying to get into advance schools like Future Foundation. When a maguffin is sent through time, a dying Moon Boy sends Devil Dinosaur after it to protect it and it winds up in Lunella's possession. Cue team up. A fun start to a series. I sincerely wish Amy Reeder was drawing this instead of just writing it.

Saga 31. Saga is back. This is my first issue I've purchased on day of release. Little Hazel reveals her wings to her teacher, who immediately passes out and cracks her head open on the corner of the desk and dies. Shit.

SHIELD 12. Final Issue. Kang assassinates Odin and the Asgardians retaliate by destroying Midgard. Coulson and his team are the only ones left to time travel back with scavenged Avengers equipment to save Odin's life. Good stuff.

Silk 1. First Issue. Silk is now a bad guy working for Black Cat but really she's a good guy working working undercover for Mockingbird and SHIELD.

Silver Surfer 15. Final Issue. Last Days tie in. Surfer and Dawn have to choose between the new reality they just created or the previous reality which is Doom's battle world. Completely irrelevant in light of the new status quo and all the new #1s coming out now.

Squirrel Girl 2. Doreen and Tippy get trapped in the 1960s. This book is fucking fabulous and you should all be reading it. Marvel is kicking ass with its humor books lately.

Darth Vader 13. Vader Down part 2. Vader is still down. But not out. Luke gets tricked by that evil protocol droid because apparently all protocol droids sound like Anthony Daniels.

Transformers MTMTE 47. Jesus. A comic that can make me have the feels about Cyclonus?? If you'd have told me 20 years ago that 41 year old me would get all emotional about an action figure character, I'd have guffawed. But here we are.

Transformers Sins of the Wreckers 1. First Issue. Is a fourth ongoing TF book along side RID, MTMTE, and TAA1 an option? Because I'd totally be down for it.

Venom Speceknight 1. First Issue. Venom is now an Agent of the Cosmos. Even he doesn't know what that means. And he says so several times during the issue. Mediocre. And Dropped.

Witchblade 185. Final Issue. After 185 issues, the longest running female led comic series concludes. The Witchblade decides it doesn't want to be with Sara anymore. And Sara is all "okay." Aside from the random issues I've found for cheap I've never bought an issue of this before. But I'm a sucker for last issues.

Wolverine 2. Laura tracks down her clones in the sewer. Then Taskmaster shows up and shoots them all. I was gonna drop this, but now I wanna see Laura vs Taskmaster next issue.

Astro City 29
Vader Down 1
SW 12
Inhumans 2
Vader 13
Surfer 15
Star Lord 1

He was able to order a number of books I had missed: Guardians 2, Extraordinary X-Men 2, Cap White 4 & Chewbacca 4, so I should get those.... well never probably. I won't pass if I see them elsewhere.

DKIII - I passed because he had 400 copies (well maybe not quite) and I want to see the hardcover version to compare them before I choose my path.

Large week - $78 worth. That would extrapolate to over $4000 for the year which simply cannot happen. I will be alone.

Vision 2
SW 13 reg & R5D4 variant
Iron Man 4
Ex X-Men 3 (still need 2)
Dr. Strange 3
All New Inhumans 1
All New X-Men 1
Miracleman 5
DD1
Waidvengers 2
Cho Hulk 1
Spidey 1 (thinking this is like "untold tales", we'll see)

Many of these books I already know I won't be carrying, I just want to see what's going on for an issue or 2.

Yet another week of 16 books. Seven more First Issues. The Marvel Relaunch Juggernaut rolls on.

Atomic Robo 4. To stop the biome gas, Atomic only has to steal a Russian rocket, launch himself up into space and infiltrate a secret nazi orbital weapon that can stop Kaijus. And he's got two hours. So no worries.

ANAD Avengers 2. Considering the team is comprised of 50% snarky teens, AND Tony Stark, I expect a little more fun and sass from this book. But instead it's got two unmemorable villains.

Daredevil 1. First Isssue. DD gets back to basics. He's back in NYC. His secret ID is back in the bag(what? How? Deal with the devil?) and Matt is now an ADA prosecuting bad guys. But the Ron Garney art is great. And the writing is decent. Charles Soule is an attorney himself, so that's a plus.

Dr. Strange 3. Strange's astral form is running around butt nekked after a dimensional mishap. And he and Wong get closer to finding out who's got it out for all magic users.

Guardians of Infinity 1. First Issue. The modern Guadians find a giant space majiggerthingy in space and go inside. They find the Original 31st Century GoGs wh,came thru from their end. A third jump lands them in the 10th century with a third ancient team of Guardians. I suppose it's too much to hope Abnett went really obscure and these are Niceiza's GoGs from that old Thunderbolts story arc. I'd have to google to find out.

Howard the Duck 2. The origins of the female Duck and Racoon from the end of last issue. Time jumping clones escaping the Collector.

Hulk 1. First Issue. Amadeus Cho is the Hulk now! Totally Awesome! No seriously, this book is fun. And Cho always draws great cheesecake art.

All New Inhumans 1. First Issue. Crystal leads a team of Inhuman diplomats that always manage to get in fights around the world as the Terrigen Cloud continues to wreak havoc in different countries.

Iron Man 4. Tony fights tech ninjas and visits a child cancer ward with Dr. Doom. Even though MJ Watson is on the cover, she's barely in the book. It IS a nice cover though.

Red Wolf 1. First Issue. The Red Wold from the 1872 SW mini gets thrust into modern times via time travel. I gave it one issue Edmonson and it didn't hook me. Dropped.

Spidey 1. First Issue. So this is some kind of revisionist series like Chapter One, Untold Tales, etc that has Peter back in high school. Except how many times can you show Spidey's "first" meeting with Doc Ock? And also Gwen didn't show up until Pete was in college. And Bradshaw is too lazy to draw Spidey's entire costume? Nope, there's too much wrong with this series that's supposed to be set "in continuity". Dropped.

Star Wars 13. Vader Down continues. Han and Chewie have to go rescue Luke and R2 from Aphra and the two crazy droids. Leia stupidly goes to confront Vader alone. Well, with some rebels that got force choked to death immediately. So. Alone.

Transformers 48. D.0.C. and Thundercracker's puppy Buster team up to save the kidnapped Autobots. And Galvatron reveals his Trojan horse in a completely stupid plot twist.

Vision 2. Somebody is blackmailing Virginia about the Grim Reaper's murder.

ExX-Men 3. Teen Jean convinces Old Man Logan to join the team and they head back to Limbo to save everyone. More clues about what happened to Scott are dropped.

All New X-Men 1. First Issue. So the mutants in Ex X-Men are all suffering from some disease and are in hiding, but in this book the time displaced O5 (minus Jean) are road tripping with X-23 the all new Wolverine, Evan the Kid Apocalypse, and Idie like nothing's wrong in the world.
