I'm not sure. I had a better selection of covers at the old stores, this one seems to get standard for Detective.

Detective Comics is twice a month and alternates weeks with Batman, so 1,000 will be here in about 6 months, which will probably be my jumping off point. I should have stopped a long time ago since I haven't read one in quite a while, as in early in the Rebirth reboot (same with Batman). I've just been buying and storing.

Brooks has been doing variants since #982, so 6 issues so far.
Thankfully, when the variants are plentiful my new LCS pulls 1 of each for members so they can decide which one they want.

None. DC had their off week this week & released crossovers. Next week I'll be looking for Batman & the finale of Deathstroke's 6 part Batman story.... which I assumed would be on the shelves when I went shopping today.

I spent almost $90 on Wednesday. I mean, I bought some boards and supplies.
But it was a lot of books. Like 24 issues.
So much for cutting back.

FF2 (against my own better judgement), Catwoman 3, Detective 988. I also popped for Journey Into Mystery 1, Nick Fury & the birth of Krakoa - written by Dennis Hopeless so I'm hoping it's good.

Went to Chicago today and visited the Shedd Aquarium. Unfortunately, this meant I missed Wednesday comics. Mostly I missed out on the Cho variant Harley Quinn cover to issue 50. I’ll pick up my books tomorrow.

Anyhoo, while in the Windy City, I decided to stop by Graham Crackers down on the Loop. I picked up a few recent issues of Moon Knight and the two latest issues of Life of Capt Marvel.
And a bunch of True Believer issues.
Rebirth of Thanos reprinted Silver Surfer 34.
Most of the rest of the FF ones I was missing. Got the Byrne issue, the Simonson issue, the Marvel 2 in 1, the birth of Valeria and the Wedding issue. Think I still need HERBIE, the What If issue, and one of the Galactus ones.
Also grabbed a bunch of the Marvel Knights 20th Annibersary TBs.
Power Man 1.
Iron Fist 1.
Power Man 48. Which is PM/IF “1”.
Amazing Spidey 129. First Punisher.
Punisher 1. The Grant/Zeck issue.
Daredevil 1.
Daredevil 1. The Kevin Smith/Quesada issue.
Daredevil 26. Ironically, at $1, this reprint costs more than the original which was a 25 cent gimmick issue to bring in new readers. Early (first?) Bendis issue.
Daredevil 80. The issue where Matt goes to prison for being DD. Bendis’ issue setting up Brubaker’s run I think.

Missing an Alias issue and I don’t know what else.

Found almost all the Detective Brooks variants today. Just need issue 983. Had a guy order me one though. I’ll check back in a couple weeks to see if he got it in

Should I put Superior Octopus in the ‘S’s under Superior
Or
The ‘O’s under Octopus
Or
In the Spider-Man stuff as he’s getting his own ongoing Superior Spider-Man and this is essentially a Spidey miniseries.

I generally ignore adjectives on books, ‘Amazing’ being the exception.

Also, what was up with that annoying Marvel Universe freebie thing?

Shorter than a comic book, but wider than a magazine?
Won’t fit in a comic box.

I have separate spider-man boxes by era - so it would be in my current spidey box at the back with annuals, specials & limited series that came out during the same time frame.

As I reorganize, I've been putting all Spider-Man titles sinceI don't have a ton, despite adjective, together under S.
Or all Punisher series are in chronological/release order and separated between 616 and Max.
All my recent Batman titles are in one box, alphabetically. Older ones, in a seperate box for now.
All my one-shots (if its a blanket Marvel/DC one) or random single issues are clumped together at the end.

Saga vol 9 tpb which is issues 49 to 54. I think I'm going to have to go back to buying & reading the floppies, one visit with these characters every 6 months just won't cut it.

Black Panther vs Deadpool. Does it go in ‘B’ or in with all the other ‘Deadpool vs’ miniseries? I’m leaning towards the latter.
Ghost Spider is still going in with the other Spider-Gwen issues. Now, if it had been a book about a Spider-Man who was a Spirit of Vengeance and his head was on fire, it would’ve gone in the ‘G’s. Context is everything.

Also, at a different store this weekend, I found the Lenticular cover of Batman 22 my guy got shafted on his Order way back when they came out last year or the year before. They had it marked $10, but the girl at the counter wasn’t paying attention, so I got it for cover price like I should’ve in the first place. Noice 8)

so, how are you going to do the Infinity Warps, then?

They go with the Infinity Wars series as tie-ins.

I got that Batman Secret Files oneshot today, thinking it was like the old SF&Origins books from the previous century. Y’know, with stat pages and histories for main Batman characters.
Instead it was just a bunch of random short Batman stories. Oh well. Cool metallic cover.
