I also got Emma Frost #3 which was nowhere near as exciting as New X-Men. But still good...

Fuck, I hate when other people get to the comic store before me. Is that the start of Morrison's last run then? Piss, I really need to get over there right away.

The 5 issue Planet X storyline should take it up to issue 150. Then the Silvestri run from 151-154 is Morrison's last.

HOLY SHIT!

Ho.

Lee.

SHIT!!!

Damn, New X-Men rules! I won't spoil it yet, but I'm glad when Jubilee was crucified and Wolvie yelled, "Where's Xorn?" he wasn't around.

"Uh, crucified, you say? Um, give her some aspirin."

Thinking about the end of New X-Men, it's still damn cool. This could top Batman #617, especially with that one being sort of a ripoff and all.

That comic was so fucking cool that when I read it, the Pope came over and kicked me in the nuts!

yeah, as soon as jj gets off his lazy ass and buys it, we can discuss how properly Pope nut kicking awesome New X-Men was!!!!

Speaking of Xorn, when did he first show up? My back issues are spotty. (And don't say X-Men #1, anarky, you tool...)

Nonono. Xorn is from China. He said so himself...

Check New X-Men Annual 2001 for when Xorn joins the team - or a little history of how it happened. Morrison brought him aboard in New X (issue # Im not sure), but the story of him joining the team is in the annual from my recollection. I couldn't tell you when he first appeared as a Starjammer.

Fucking read some spoiler bullshit post at SSG, and Im not happy with the concept. I hate when fucking writers bail out of all their significant changes with rehashed and stupid cliched shit like bringing back someone from the dead. That being said, I still haven't read the book and Im a huge fan of Magneto. I knew he wasn't really dead (didn't we all) but it doesn't seem nearly long enough since he got whacked. I guess maybe it would if I had been reading the books as they came out.

Hmmmmm...Uncanny X-Men came out today (Sept. 17th, 2003). I checked the indicia. This fucker comes out bi-weekly almost every month of the year!

Anarky will be upset to know that Jubille was checking out Kurt's package. And Mystique shows up from out of the blue. ( Ha. Unintended pun...I swear.)

I went and bought a bunch of shit today, including new X 146. Well put together book, but a little sad nonetheless. I was quite pleased with the way Mags went out last time - very "in character", full of defiance right until the very end. Im full of hope for this storyline, and for the end of Morrison's "most influential X-Creator since John Byrne" run. Whatever happens, no one will ever be able to say he was happy with the status quo.

It's okay. After my wife fell in love with "Kurt Wagner. . . but in the Munich Circus they called me the mighty Nightcrawler" when she saw X2, I'm used to chicks falling for the blueberry muffin.

Y'know, if the Comic Code Authority still existed (I'm not sure when it finally vanished, but it ain't on any recent books), Marvel could probably not get a single one of their comics published. Blue schlong indeed!
