Like the old GI Joe Yearbooks. Those things were gold.

I was talking to a coworker and trying to recall how Cyclops died.
I still can't remember.

Phoenix Scott got smoked in Secret Wars by God Doom if I recall - or one of his minions maybe? We still haven't found out what Scott did post- Secret Wars on the new earth (apparently he was alive post Secret Wars), but he did something weird to/about the Inhumans & Terrigen mists that caused some ruckus. I guess they'll get to that.

They haven't said yet. There's an X-event this fall called "Death of X" that people are speculating is the story of whatever happened between Cyclops and the Inhumans that led to his demise.

Surfer 3 was awesome. Can't wait to see how this continues. Slott is so great here & really "gets" the character. I makes me kinda sad honestly because I can't seem to get in touch with his Peter Parker. :(

DD5 wrapped up the opening arc on a better note. Elektra starting next month.

Vision 6 - it keeps getting weirder & better. Did I mention weirder. Now at the top of my "to read" list because a shit storm is brewing.

Black Widow 2 & 3 - very good comics, but I feel like there isn't much more I need to learn about her. Love Waid & Samnee so I'll finish the first arc, then it's bye bye. Incredible colours happening in this books, much like their Daredevil run prior to.

Hulk 5 - just hanging on. The art is spectacular and the Enchantress is an underused and interesting villain. I'll keep going for now.

Int'l Iron Man 2 - nothing for me here. Great creative team, but unless something unexpectedly awesome happens (which will surprise me greatly since I don't like this retcon at all) I'm done after the first arc.

Avengers: Standoff could have been dealt with nicely in one 48 page issue, and adequately in a regular sized comic. This was a pretty shitty "event", Marvel. I'm not holding my breath for Civil War II either, but we'll have to wait & see how that goes.

4 posts in a row. By now grimlock should be 69ing his bizarro self (watch the teeth).

Vison 7 - fucking amazing. Chux, drop everything & order the trade of volume 1. It's the best thing going.

Been saying that since issue 1. Only five issues remain. :(

They revealed the premise behind "DEAD NO MORE" in the free Cap book - which was actually half Rogers & half Parker (and all of it was pretty good - I might even start buying the Rogers series to see where it goes). Gwen Stacey was on the splash page, but I took it to be a doppleganger based on the story.

Punisher #1 was half decent. I haven't seen any Steve Dillon art for awhile & not much has changed there - seen one face, seen 'em all.... but he fits the character & situations pretty well. Not sure how many issues I'll stick around for, but I'll read the first arc anyhow.

I think I'm dropping Miles Morales Spider-Man & Waidvengers. Just don't care about the Teen Diversity Triplets as much as I'm supposed to, and they're getting a lot of airtime.

Continuing with the last post, almost all the main heroes have been replaced at this point. Spidey, Hulk, Thor, Cap, & (soon) Iron Man just off the top. I don't care enough about any of these replacement characters sadly. I sense some pruning of my pull list pending.

Miles has been around for awhile, so that isn't too jarring. Plus Peter is still slinging webs.
Nick Spencer is writing both Cap books, and his Sam Wilson has been interesting, if not permanent.
I'm really digging Jane as Thor.
The only real letdown has been Amadeus as the new Hulk. Only because I really enjoyed that character when he WASNT the Hulk, and for some reason, he's just become dull now that he's Hulked up.
The Mary Sue that will be Iron Man though, I feel like there's about 20 other in universe characters who should get the chance to be the new Iron Man before giving it to a complete n00b. But we'll see.
