Figures they'd ruin a perfectly good figure with an action feature. I'd like a better look at the one that comes with the wolf.

Are they turning Zartan into some sort of witch doctor? It looks like he has an Ewok's staff.

Low Light is one of those figures I wanted when I was a kid, but never got. He and Beachhead a definite buy for me. Recondo, a Snake Eyes, Dusty, and Snow Job are possible buys.

You're probably right about Dusty. Now that I took a closer look, I see he has some weird armor. It might be ok. Can't tell for sure.

The best way to get Snow Job was the pack-in in the Target: Then and Now set (the only "Then and Now" set they did) with the Polar Battle Bear. Classic Polar Battle Bear, re-release of the 1983 Snow Job, the re-do Polar Battle Bear (with a new name), and the new Snow Job. I got one set on clearance for $7. Cheap as one figure by itself.

We had to go back to TRU today. My wife needed one more thing for our daughter's birthday. She had a coupon for $5 off a $25 purchase. Well the thing she needed was only $15 so she said I could spend $10. They had 2 Joes for $10, so I got Doc and a Snow Serpent. Doc's accessories are pretty impressive.

Guess you were right. I checked the hasbro website all weekend and this morning before work and there was no Slaughter. I check again and both of them were sold out. They are already on amazon for $35-$80. Oh well, at least I got that WWF version.

BTW, I didn't realize before there were three (!) Snake Eyes on display. The one I now assume you were talking about earlier when you referred to a cool one looks like a bloody amazing update of the 1982 "Commando" figure, with an interchangeable head that looks like the 1985 version.

Most importantly, it has no action feature!

I didn't realize there were 3 either. The one I liked did look like an update. I may have taken a chance on it even with the action feature.

My kids love the rocket launchers that came with movie GI Joes. They have surprisingly good aim with them.

Ross is getting the TRU movie 5-figure sets. Duke with 4 Cobras and Zartan with 4 Joes.

Target has their stuff marked way down. I got Grand Slam with his glider and the lavender CLAW (I'm sure Perpentor had something to do with this one). They were $2.48 each.

Shit, I'll grab about how ever many more of those figures I can carry at $2.48 each.

I should've known the TRU sets would end up at Ross. Any TRU set I get, it's at Ross. Any I don't, it ain't. I'm hoping the Force Unleashed sets go to Ross; I'd like Proxy but don't much care about the rest of either set.

BTW, this is probably way in the future, but if you happen to find the Resolute multipacks at Ross and I haven't reported getting them yet, I want them. I might even want extras of the Cobra set, just for the Alley Viper (who in Resolute isn't a fucktarded orange guy with a shield, but a standard Cobra Trooper with body armor).

Only a Grand Slam and Wetsuit left at that price. I grabbed 'em for the vehicles and for custom fodder. Also got another Gunship at about $6.50, mostly for the "Firefly" figure (who makes a sweet Cobra ground crew guy).

Found three of the new figures: Beach Head, Storm Shadow, and Snake Eyes (the one with no gimmick who isn't the update of the 1982 version). I got Snake Eyes mostly for the new Timber (who I thought had articulation, but it's more of an action feature, dammit). Storm Shadow, well, fuck, he looks awesome in person. Totally not going to be Storm Shadow, but some "generic" Cobra asskicker.

I've seen the some of the first new wave of GI Joe. Almost bought Beachhead and Snow Job from TRU on sale. They had Snake-Eyes too, but I'm not sure if that's the one I wanted. No interest in Duke. I was going to skip Storm Shadow as well. I'm trying to watch what I get because I don't want to end up with an army of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadows like I have with Darth Vaders and Tatooine Lukes. And I still want to have money to use for Star Wars.

Well, I left TRU empty handed and we went next door to TJ Max. They had the Cobra Flight Pod and Joe motorcycle set, the VAMP, SHARC, and Firebat. I got the Flight Pod/Cycle set. I'll go back later to see if they still have the VAMP.

There's a new VAMP forthcoming, too, which looks more like a Hummer. Some folks seem to not like it. I dig what I've seen.

The POC Doom Cycle is another fucking sweet toy, BTW.

Got the new Cobra Commander and Alley Viper today.

Holy fuck, Rando, you're going to want the Alley Viper. It's not evident from the way he's boxed, but he's got extra helmets, and one makes him look like a more heavily-equipped Cobra Trooper (with a helmet, goggles, and metal faceplate, like in Resolute). He is fucking sweet. I will be army-building this motherfucker.

With there being 3 Snake-Eyes in the next 6 months, I thought I'd go back and look at the SDCC pictures. Yojoe needs to find a new photographer.

The new Vamp looks more like something from the old Jurassic Park toy line. Hopefully TJ Maxx will still have the 25th Anniv. version.

This the Snake-Eyes I think I'm going to wait for.

This is the Snake Eyes with the Action Feature. Skipping this one.

Found a picture of the Alley Viper & his other gear. http://photos.yojoe.com/showphoto.php?photo=5066
It looks pretty cool, but I'm leaning towards not getting it.

They've still got the VAMP locally. Let me know if you can't find it.

The packaging artwork on the Alley Viper is the "Resolute" mask. And I'm going to have to get that other Snake Eyes, too. (The one with the action feature looks like a shit figure even without the action feature.)
