So, um, based entirely on a CBR headline posted to Facebook, I know that, in the DCnU, Martian Manhunter has been secretly a bad guys for decades.

Excellent work, DC! Predictable, lowest common denominator bullshit! You guys are really excelling at sucking ass.

13 more Nu52 books are going away including 5 of the original 52 series.

Green Lantern Corps, Green Lantern New Guardians, Red Lanterns, Swamp Thing and Batwoman are going away leaving only 15 of the original 52 books.

Action
Aquaman
Batman
Batman &
Batgirl
Catwoman
Detective
Flash
Green Arrow
Green Lantern
Justice League
Red Hood
Superman
Supergirl
Wonder Woman.

Of those I'd say ten are pretty much guaranteed to be on the roster permanently. The two Bat and two Supe books, Justice League, and the five major heroes (Flash, GA, GL, WW and Aqua)

Batman & is superfluous. The two "Girl" titles, Catwoman and surprisingly Red Hood has stuck it out this long. One could also argue Arrow would be long gone if not for the popularity of the CW series. Aquaman would probably also be gone had Johns not written it forever.

Still that's nearly 75% attrition after 3 years. And that's not counting the many many series started after the original launch that have also ended.

Edit. Roughly 65 titles. 37 of which were original and 28 were after. I may have missed a couple.

Funny how they still call it the New 52 yet there won't be 52 books out there.
I'm on the verge of dropping Detective, leaving Batman as the only DC I'll still be reading (and even that is getting shaky).

I still say 52 is too many, especially when half are devoted to two or three characters.

Plus the whole 52 thing is a very recent development and entirely based on a series that took the name because it was weekly for a year.

I can't tell I this is still "Nu52" continuity or if this is yet another reboot/relaunch.

Not that I give a shit either way.

At least DC is finally dropping the "New 52" title with this new launch of titles, especially since neither word applies.

Going away from New 52, "story > continuity" is the new buzzy buzz phrase. Fanboys will LOVE it!

It's hard to tell in all that mess, but I think seven more titles "ended" and got relaunched, including four of the original Nu52 titles.

Batman &[Robin], JL Dark, Red Hood, and Supergirl
As well as Constantine, JL3000, and Earth 2.

Five of those seven are just getting rejiggered relaunches. Six if you count Batman &.

Not sure what the last issue of each is to put in my list of books to find dirt cheap and not pay full price for.

So DC's big upcoming event is called "Convergence", and what's happening is all their worlds are colliding. Good thing nothing like this ever happened in Avengers over the last 2 years or I'd think there were some shenanigans in progress.

My theory is that either an editor or writer/artist was working at Marvel, and went to DC and told them at least the rough version of what Hickman has been building towards for 3 years and Geoff Johns hastily threw this Convergence bullshit together in January.

That's how it looks to me anyway.

You would think at some point shame and embarrassment (over such a blatant ripoff) would have at least entered the picture.... but apparently not.

They copied marvel in the theater, so why not in comics?

They haven't copied Marvel in the theaters yet.
Only in the film slate announcement dept.

If the Batgirl Convergence series had been written by Bryan Q. Miller, I might've picked it up.
