The “Planet Funk” Con was in town this weekend. Toys, Anime, Art, people selling their own books, cosplay, there was a LARP arena for. people who wanted to smack people around with cardboard swords. It was very much a celebration of nerd culture. The booths selling comics were few and far between and of those, many were selling higher end silver age stuff that was out of my price range. I found a few things here and there, but nothing like my usual hauls. 31 books total, for which I paid between $1 and $3 each. Just gonna lump ‘em all together.

Aquaman 46-49. The Variant covers from the Rebirth run. Only missing 3 issues now.
Detective 935. Six more to go for an uninterrupted run back to the early 80s.
Demon 52. From the 90’s run. Missing 6 issues and an Annual.
Flash 25. From the Nu52 run. Ten more to go, plus an Annual.
Ghost 8. From the 90’s Dark Horse series. Need like five more issues.
Justice League Dark 1. Just need the first Annual. EDIT. I thought the Annual was the expensive one, the issue I just got for $3 is ‘worth’ $30 on cbrealm. Holy shit! Jackpot!
Shazam 5-10, 15. The variant covers from the ‘19 series.
Classic Star Wars:Return of the Jedi 2. Finished this “mini” finally. Had the expensive Adam Hughes cover of issue 1 since the 90s when it came out.
SW Crimson Empire 6.
SW Dark Empire II 3, 5.
SW Legacy 3-7, 11-14. A good chunk of the second ongoing Legacy series. Just need 2, 9, 15, 17, and 18.
SW Shadows of the Empire 4. Apparently, I do not own this series. I’m 90% sure I’ve read it. But cannot think of why I would’ve read it but not bought it. Huh. Anyway. One down, five to go.
SW: Tales From Mos Eisley oneshot.

Yeah, not much, but SCORE on the JL Dark book! Huzzah! Made the trip worth it.

Not sure when the next show is. EDIT The next show is at the local mall in just a couple weeks. The same weekend Thor opens.

This kinda shit always cracks me up. People are always over-protecting their books and getting personalized backer boards. You can’t tell, but the sleeve is that super high quality Mylar stuff.
I don’t have a problem with people investing in their collections.
But I laugh because I picked it up in someone’s discount box for $1.

Another show, another haul. This one was at the local mall again. Hit up almost ten different tables. Loot at all of them.

Table 1 6 books for $1 each.
Omega Men 15.
Doctor Tomorrow 6. Finished the Valiant series.
Eternal Warrior 46, 48.
Magnus 45.
Ninjak 7.

Table 2 2 books for $2 each.
Angela:Queen of Hel 6. Finished the series.
Flash 23.2. Lenticular cover.

Table 3. Not a table perse. On and off dealer I know from other shows was there and we went out to his car to look thru his wares. He gave me the “friend” discount since I’ve known him for almost 12 years at this point. It was $80 “worth” of stuff he gave me for $20. Solid!

Secret Origins 4. Finished the series.
Superman 10. First appearance of the Super-Sons.
Wonder Woman 0. Just need 38 from the Nu52 series.
Catwoman 42, 43. Recent variant covers.
Harley Quinn 13. Recent variant cover.
Star Wars:Bounty Hunters 9, 10, 12, 15.

Table 4 31 books for a buck each.
Conan 13-25. Back half of the Dark Horse series from 2012. Just need 9 thru 12.
Manhattan Projects 1, 16, 26 and the Sun Beyond the Stars mini 1-4. Finished the entire run. Boom.
Mister Miracle 2-12. Almost the entire Tom King series. Nice.

Table 5 2 books for a buck each.
Batman:Dark Victory 3.
Omega Men 36. Only nine more to find.

Table 6 15 books for $20
Arkham City:Order of the World 1, 5.
Avengers Assemble Season 2 1-4. Based on the Animated Series.
Collapser 1.
Nightwing 80, 88
Robin 10. Variant cover from current series.
Marvel Tales:Ka-Zar. $7.99 reprint for a buck.
Old Man Hawkeye 8-11.

Table 7 Biggest $ of the day. 52 books for $70

Dark Knights:Metal 1-6. He had the Jim Lee covers as a set for $30, knocked it down to $20.
Batwoman Rebirth oneshot and also issue 1.
Flash 5, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 25, 27, 29, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 39, 41, 43-45. A big chunk of the Rebirth series. Only 22 issues left to find.
Hal Jordan/GLC 30.
JL Dark 8, 10. Variant covers.
JL Odyssey 3.
Legion of Super Heroes 1, 4. Variant covers from the Bendis run.
Mr Miracle:Source of Freedom 1, 2.
Ravencroft 2-5. Think this one is finished.
Cosmic Ghost Rider 3. Regular cover. I already had the variant.
Super Sons 10.
Advs of the Super-Sons 3-7, 11, 12. Just missing issue 9.
Teen Titans 28. Variant cover.

Batwoman thru Titans were all $1 books. Also got

GIJoe 24. He had it marked $20 and
Boys 66. Marked at $7 but he basically gave me both for $6 together.
Only missing three issues of Joe now, and finished The Boys run. Except for Herogasm and Highland Laddie.

Table 8 5 for $5 and another 1 for an extra $5. So six for $10.
Black Panther 13. From the most recent, but not current run.
Cable:Second Genesis. Some sort of reprint book.
Legion of Super Heroes 84, 91. Only five more to find from the 90s run.
Batman:Book of the Dead 2. Finished the Prestige mini.

Table 9 Buy one for $5, get one free.
Batman/Catwoman:Trail of the Gun 1. Finished the Prestige mini
Rocket and Groot 1.

The highlight was finishing The Boys, and that Angela series(which had been bugging me). But getting that DK Metal run, finishing Manhattan Projects, and getting one step closer to a full GIJoe run was nice too.

No idea when the next show is.

Went to the annual garage sale out in Smalltown, Illinois. Bought two full long boxes, and got a third box for free. 950 books for $220. Roughly 23 cents a book. I’m still alphabetizing and crossing them off my list. Will post tomorrow during the football.

Here we go. Might have to break this up into two or three posts. See how it goes.

Alien3 3. Last part of the tie-in comic mini.
Aliens oneshots; Lovesick, Mondo Pest, Pig, Purge, Salvation, Aliens Special, Stalker, and Wraith.
Aliens vs Predator:Eternal 1-4
Aliens:Berserker 1-3. Missing issue 4.
Aliens:EarthWar 1-4.
Aliens:Colonial Marines 1-10.
Aliens:Hive 1-4.
Aliens:Labyrinth 1-4.
Aliens:Music of the Spears 1-3. Missing 4.
Aliens:Newt’s Tale 1-2.
Aliens:Rogue 1-4. As you can see, a large chunk of Dark Horse’s early 90s Aliens books. Ugh. Now I might have to make a sublist of missing Aliens books.
Annihilation:Silver Surfer 1-4. Finally found this mini. The last Annihilation series I was missing. The books have some curling on the spine from how they were in the box, but I think I can press it out with sufficient weight and time. There were a few books I picked up with curling issues. These were minor. Some are gonna be more problematic.
Ant-Man 5. Finished the Irredeemable series. Finally.
Atlantis Attacks 5. Variant cover. Not gonna lie, thought this was the Namor issue I was missing. Got my mini series mixed up.

Backlash 1-19, 21-32. Almost the entire Image series.
Battle of the Planets 1/2, 1-12, a few variant covers, as well as oneshots; Mark, Jason, Battle Book, a BotP/Witchblade crossover, and a BotP/Thundercats crossover.
Batman 100 Page Giants 2, 8-10. The WM exclusives from the first run.
Batman vs Bigby 3.
Batman City of Lights 7, 8. Finished the mini.
Batman Dark Victory 10-13. Still need 1 and 4 thru 9. I already had the TPB though.
Batman Death & The Maidens 2. Finished the mini.
Black Panther 15. From the newest-but-not-current run.
Black Widow 4. Variant cover.
Birds of Prey 17. One of the last two issues I was missing. Just need that stupid 8th issue. Grrrr.
Books of Magic 2-75. Almost the entire run of the Vertigo series starring Harry Potter Tim Hunter, the bespectacled boy learning magic. And I had a Platinum first issue from a Retailers convention I went to back in the 90s. So I only need a couple Annuals for a full run.

Checkmate 1. Variant cover of the follow up mini to Event Leviathan.
Cold Dead War 1. Variant cover based on a Robert Alvarado pinup. If you don’t know Alvarado, google his stuff, but NSFW.
Conan 1, 3-6, 8-24. From Dark Horse’s 2004 series.
Crush & Lobo 3. Daughter/Father team up mini.

Darkness 84, and a couple oneshots.
Dark Horse Comics 2-7, 9-15, 18-23. A majority of the anthology followup to DHPresents.
DC Presents 86.
Defenders 105, 107-112, 114, 122, 126, 130, 133-135, 140, 141, 145-148, 150, 151. One of the last major Marvel runs that I hadn’t been actively hunting. Decided to start.
Demon 39-42, 45, 46, 53, 54. Just need an Annual to finish the ‘90 run.
Blood of the Demon 12. Just need issue 5 to finish the ‘05 series.
Druid 1-4. The entire Dr. Druid mini from the mid-90s.
Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme 57. FINISHED the 80s series.

Eratic 1. Cool first issue from Upshot. A kind of Spidey-esque teen hero from Kaare Andrews.
Eternal Warrior 2. Finished the relaunched series.
EW:Days of Steel 1-3. Complete mini.
Wrath of the Eternal Warrior 1-8. From an even more recent relaunch.

Fathom 0, 1/2, 1-14, a couple Swimsuit specials, and Killian’sTide 1-4 mini. Michael Turner’s aquatic heroine from TopCow.
Flash 327, 328, 335, 336 from the original Barry Allen run from the 70s/80s. 42, 44 from the Nu52 run. Eight issues to go on that run. And 773, 775 from the current ongoing.
Fury:Peacemake 4. Finished the mini, but this one is gonna need pressing to flatten it out. Or I might have to keep looking for a better copy.
Gambit 18. Just need 19 and the 1/2 issue for a full Gambit run.
Original Ghost Rider Rides Again 1-7. A reprint mini from the 90s when GR was hot shit and could have multiple series.
Green Arrow 49. Variant cover. Only missing issue 32 from the Rebirth run.
Green Lantern 157, 158. From the old Bronze age run.
Grendel Classics 1,2. Finished the mini.

Hellblazer 11-26, 28-51, 64, 65, 74, 76, 78, 80, 81, 84-103, 109, 115, 119, 120, 129, 132, 133, 143-189, 194-198, 200, 234-236. An enormous run of the Vertigo series.
Hellblazer:Bad Blood 1-4.
Hellblazer:Lady Constantine 1-4.
Hellblazer/Book of Magic 1-2. Crossover.

Justice League 68. Variant cover. Part of Bandis’ run.
King in Black 1. Variant cover.
Legion of Super-Heroes 263, 276, 281, 284, 286, 288, 291, 292, 294, 339. Only six more issues to find from the original 70s/80s run. And only missing five issues from the 90’s run, so getting close to a complete run.(Not counting the ‘Superboy and—‘ stuff)
Who’sWho in the LoSh 1, 2, 5.
Lobo 35-57, Ann 2, 3. Still need 58 thru 64, the end of the series.
Lobo:Contract on Gawd 1-4.
Lobo:Death and Taxes 1-4.
And a bunch of Lobo oneshots; Portrait of a Victim, In the Chair, Gallery, I Quit, Big Babe Spring Break, Chained, Goes Hollywood, Lobo/Demon:Helloween, Lobo/Mask, Lobo/Deadman, and….Lobocop(lol). I’m gonna have to see what I have and don’t have for Lobo’s shit. He was prolific in the 90s.
Lucifer 63, 67, 70. Nine more issues to go.

Back with the rest in a little while.

Part 2.

Magnus Robot Fighter 49, 53, 54. Only twelve more issues to go to finish the original Valiant run.
Man-Thing 2, 8. From the 1998 series. Just need issue 7.
Marvel Super-Heroes “13”. The quarterly anthology series from the 90’s. These mostly didn’t have numbers, but release seasons like ‘Spring 1993’. I’m missing one more for the full run. Thankfully it’s NOT the one with Squirrel Girl’s 1st appearance.
Marvel Tales:Hellstrom oneshot. $7.99 reprint book.
Marvel Triple Action 7, 9, 26, 32, 36, 39, 40. Decent reading copies of the 70’s reprint series.
OHotMU 3-6, 8-12. The original Handbooks. I’m missing 3 or 4 issues from the very first series. It would be interesting to flip thru them and see how much has been retconned.
A Marvel Milestone issue.
Several Masters of the Universe issues from the 2003-2004 minis from Image/Crossgen. Full runs, with variants/B-covers for a majority of the issues.
MotU:Revelations 4. The Netflix adaptation.
Meridian 35-44. Finished off the Crossgen series.
Micronauts Convention Preview, 1-9, and some variants from the early 2000’s Image series. I think there’s a couple issues missing. Have to check.
Mindhunters 1-3. Witchblade, Darkness, Aliens, and Predators. Crossover mini. It’s been bugging me that I’d never find this and the follow up mini. But found them both! Huzzah!
New Gods 19, 22. Two issues to go on the late 80s run.
Nightwing 83. From the current run.
Omega Men 33. One step closer to a full run on the original series. If it wasn’t for fucking Lobo in issue three….
Omega Men 1-6. Found the entire 2005 mini. Finished.
Overkill 1-2. The other Witchblade/Darkness/Aliens/Predator series. It’s always gratifying to cross a series off of four different lists.
Adventures of the Outsiders 46. The LAST Outsiders issue I needed from ALL the Outsiders runs. FINISHED.
Punisher2099 34. FINISHED. I’m missing Spidey2099 35-37 and 43-46 for a complete 2099 run.
Question 6. Finished the 2003 mini. Missing three issues from the earlier runs.
16 issues of Red Sonja.
Rising Stars 0, the Wizard 0, a couple 1/2s, a couple Preludes, a Preview, 9, 13-24, and six issues of a follow up mini. Finished the main series. There’s two other minis and yet another 1/2 issue from Wizard left to find. Pretentious number of non-regular issues in this series. Roll my eyes.
Superboy 80 Page Giant. A replica reprint from 2000 of a classic 60’s issue.
A dozen issues of Action and 20 issues of the original pre-Adventures Superman run from the early 80s. Missing like 4 issues from issue 400 on.
Superman Annual 1, 2, and Adventures of Superman Annual 1,2. I wasn’t sure which two annuals I needed, so I got both from both series.
Superman/Aliens 3. Might’ve already had this.
Superman/Thundercats oneshot. Whittling down the overall Superman list.
Superman Adventures 3, 4, 6-20, 22-24, 27, 28, 31-38. A sizeable chunk of the all-ages Superman series.
Action 1032. A recent missing issue.
Supergirl:World of Tomorrow 5. Variant cover.
Just a few Star Wars issues.
Strange Tales 1, 2. From a ‘98 series. Might’ve had these.
1602:Fantastick Four 1-5. These had some pretty significant curliing because the covers were a cardstock, so the spines are thicker. Not unfixable, but it will take some time.
Swamp Thing. 54 issues from the 80’s series, 7 issues from the 2002 run, and 21 from the 2004 run.
Roots of Swamp Thing 1. This was the worst of the bent issues. Might be a lost cause.
Teen Titans 100 Page Giant 2, 4-6. The WM exclusives.
Thor 297.
Tomb Raider Wizard 1/2 11, 12, 28-30, 32, 39, 40, 42-44, 46-49. Adam Hughes did a bunch of covers for this series late in the run. Found a large chunk of them. Didn’t find issue 45, which is the big one, but still a solid find.
TR:Journeys of Lara Croft 1-3, 7-9, 12. Only missing a couple from this one.
A few TR oneshots.
Ultraforce 7.
A couple Vampirella issues.
Voltron. A couple of DDP minis from the early 2000s.
Some Dejah Thoris issues.
Wicked+Divine 45. Still missing like half the series.
Witchblade 127, 133, 135-139, and a couple rando issues.
Wolverine:Black White & Blood 1. Variant.
Zorro Rides Again 1-12. Sequel series from Dynamite.

Apart from the satisfaction of finishing off several series like Dr Strange, Ant-Man, Outsiders, Punisher2099, etc, the big wins were those outrageous runs of Books of Magic, Hellblazer and SwampThing, finding those Tomb Raider issues, and those two minis; Mindhunter and Overkill. Not a huge Lobo fan, but that was a nice little jackpot too.

I think the next big show isn’t until December. And I won’t have to drive 90 minutes to get to it.

Re: Big score........

Post by Tom Foolery »

Needed some repair work done on my car. My kid sister’s(I say ‘kid’..she’s almost 40) longtime boyfriend offered to do it for about 1/4th I was getting quoted from local garages. So, Road Trip to Wisconsin! While I was there, I hit up three local comic shops in and around Rockford, IL.

The first one, Top Cut Comics, I only found three issues in the $1 boxes; Damage 8, Flash 31, and The X-Cellent 2. Plus a couple recent releases I had missed.

The second shop, Clyde’s, was an absolute mess. Imagine a couple rows of 30-40 toplid boxes stacked 8-10 boxes high, with piles of comics stacked on top of those that were 1 to 2 feet tall. A couple spinner racks crammed full, And a small shelf for “current” comics, but absolutely no way to search for anything without asking the guy if he had an issue(and then I presume, he would spend the next half hour downstacking the boxes to dig thru the one that MAY have the book you were asking about). I didn’t bother. However, the owner himself, was an absolute delight, and got super excited about talking comics, even after he’d been doing this for 40+ years. I spent 45 minutes there just gabbing with the guy. Wonderful. In the end, I bought a copy of the new 30th Anniversary of Superman’s Death oneshot, just because. Maybe in the future, with time on my hands, I will return with a list and see how the operation there actually works. Because it looked like a clusterfuck wrapped in a shitshow.

The third shop, which I forgot the name, had only been open a few months. I found a bunch of stuff in their $1 and $2 boxes, and then got a few $6 and $8 books to fill some bothersome holes in my collection. Ended up spending $80 on 44 books. Here’s what I got.

Defenders 127, and 136. From the tail end of the 70s/80s run.
Dr. Fate 3 and 4. From the 5 issue mini from 2003.
Fantastic Four:Empyre Fallout 1. A regular cover of one of the Alex Ross issues I had.
Fantastic Four:Antithesis 3. Also a regular cover of an Alex Ross issue.
Firebrand 7-9. Finished this late 90s DC series.
Flash 190. From the original run.
Jack Kirby’s Fourth World Gallery oneshot.
Immortal Hulk 37. Regular cover of the Alex Ross issue.
Jemm, Son of Saturn 7, 9-12. Just missing 6 and 8 from this 80s DC series.
Marvel Mystery Comics. A reprint of the Golden Age issue from 1999.
Dr Aphra 7. The issue I was missing from the newest series. Paid $8 for this one.

Batgirl Annual 1. Nu52. 4 more issues to go.
Detective 963, 969, 976,977. Just missing 959 and 962 and I’ll be caught up all the way back to 572.
Cyborg 21. Missing 4 issues from the 2016 run.
Darkseid oneshot. Part of a Jack Kirby celebration from 2019.
Gotham City Garage 6. Just need issue 7.
Harley Quinn 15. The Frank Cho cover. Paid a little more for this one.
Kamandi Challenge 11. Finished the series.
Red Hood 28, 33, 35, 42, 45. Variant covers.
Six Pack/Dog Welder 2-4. Finished the mini.
New Super-Man 3, 5. The Chinese Superman.
Teen Titans Annual 1.
Flash 33, Hal Jordan 32, Justice League 32, 33. Four tie-ins to Dark Nights:Metal bundled for $10.

And my car runs great! Next show is still in December…

Oh boy that causes me some serious stress. I go downstairs & see my 30 boxes, that gets me sweating enough as it is.

I would like me one of those vintage spinner racks though. Fond memories of grabbing issues off those while visiting Gram & Gramp.

Not a “big score”, but I found a semi-htf Hulk issue that’s been a big bothersome hole in my Hulk run, as well as a couple Deadpool issues on eBay. The books were reasonable, the shipping is ass.

But with that Hulk 8 from 1999, I have a full run of Hulk all the way back to issue 182 back in 1974!! I’m missing a few Annuals, and maybe 6 or 7 issues of minis, oneshots, and spinoffs from having EVERY Hulk book going back that far as well.

Booyah!

I remember needing that same bastard issue. If you choose to look into it, my recollection is that they real distribution problems with it - not low print run or anything, just for some reason the movement of that one book got fucked up. The Byrne hulk run leading into Bruce Jones wasn't all that shit hot (if memory serves), but I HATED not having it complete. I'm guessing I likely paid $25 for that stupid thing.

The guy had it at $8 and I best offered him down to $6 and then threw the Deadpool issues to defray the cost of shipping.

If I had a top ten list of desired holes to fill in my collection, this sumbitch was definitely on it.

Nice work! Patience wins in this case.

QuadCon was at the mall again this weekend. I hit up several tables and the books I found all kinda got piled together by the time I got home. Mostly $1 books, but a few $2 and $3 books, and then some higher priced ones, but they were 50% off the marked price, and the guy rounded down after that. And finally a small batch of current/recent books I had missed, so I paid cover for them. I paid roughly $100 for 57 books, and another $40 for 7 current issues.
Also found an action figure. Here’s what I got, in some semblance of an order that makes sense only to me.

How to Publish your own Comic Book. An unhelpful $12.50 guide from the 90s that was in the $1 box and I thought it would be a hoot to read for nostalgic purposes.
Dark Horse Comics 24. Only missing 4 issues now.
Galactus the Devourer 1. Been looking for the first and last issues of this six issue mini for years. Found one, just need the other.
Grendel:Devil Quest oneshot. A collection of back-up stories from other Grendel Tales issues, collected together.
Hellblazer 70.
Hulk 1/2. A Wizard 1/2 issue. Can’t say for sure if I had this already.
CBLFD Liberty Annual 2011. With the Grendel cover.
Lucifer 11. Only 8 more issues to find.
Magnus Robot Fighter 13. Only 11 more to go from the original Valiant run.
Marvel Advs Hulk 3, 5. The all-ages series.
Marvels Sanpshots:Avengers oneshot. Variant cover.
Origin 2. The Wolverine origin mini. Just need the first issue.
Rising Stars:Bright 1,2. First two issues of a 3 issue mini. Found them at different tables.
SW:Poe Dameron 23. Still need eight issues.
Thor:Tales of Asgard 3. Finished this mini from 2009.
Transformers 8. My very first Transformer comic! Dinobots on the cover. Not a great copy, but I got it for a $1 so I can put it in a frame and hang it up.
Turok:Spring Break in the Lost Land oneshot. Uff, there are two different Turok ‘Lost Land’ oneshots. I already had this one.
Ultimate Spider-Man 28. From the XD cartoon series.
X-Men Classics 87. This replaces my damaged copy. Now I just need issue 43 for a full run.
Giant Size X-Men:Storm oneshot. Have the Alex Ross cover. Now I have the regular cover.
X-Force 1. Had the Bagley variant cover, now I have the regular cover.
Batman:Arkham Unhinged 3. Just need 4, 10, and 11.
Blue and Gold 4. A new Booster/Beetle mini(maxi? Its 8 issues. Midi?).
Crush & Lobo 1. Lobo and his daughter mini…midi..whatever.
Deathstroke 16, 17. Just need issue 11 from the original Nu52 run.
Firestorm 1. Nu52.
Green Lantern 10. Variant cover from Morrison’s recent run.
JLA/Doom Patrol oneshot. Part of the Milk Wars crossover between the Young Animal imprint and the main DC books.
Justice League 1. Jim Lee’s variant cover of Batman.
JLDark 14. Variant cover.
JLOdyssey 8, 9, 11, 14. Variant covers. It’s frustrating keeping track of what I have and don’t have with DC’s variant covers.
Legion of Super Heroes 9. Variant cover from Bendis’ recent run.
Martian Manhunter 2. Variant cover.
Shade The Changing Girl/WonderWoman oneshot. Milk Wars.
Suicide Squad 15, 30. Just need issue 29 from the Nu52 series.
Suicide Squad 47. Variant cover from the Rebirth series. Kinda cool Harley cover by Francesco Mattina.
Supergirl 27. Variant cover.
Swamp Thing/Cave Carson oneshot. Milk Wars.
Teen Titans 1. From the Rebirth series.
Wonder Woman 20. From the Rebirth series.

These books were in the $5-10 range, but 50% off and then reduced even more, so most of them were cover price or less;

Avengers Empyre Aftermath. Had the very rare Alex Ross cover(its listed at $125 on cbrealm) but now I have the regular cover.
Justice League 20. Had the two variant covers, but now I have the regular cover to complete the tryptych.
Marvel Tales:Captain Britain oneshot. One of those $7.99 reprint books.
Morbius 3-5. Finished his newest very short run ongoing.
Robin 2. Variant cover.
Spider-Gwen:Gwen-Verse. A couple variants of issue 1.
Star Wars:Empire Strikes Back oneshot. This collected all 36 of the Chris Sprouse variant covers from the various SW books and put them in ‘story’ order. Kinda neat. Also, a $5.99 issue, marked at $8, knocked down to $4, and take more off…so like $3. Noice.

And finally, the ‘current’ books I got

Catwoman 44 and 49. The variant covers. I’m all caught up.
Dark Web 1. The new Spidey/X-Men event.
Star Wars:Hidden Empire 1. The new SW mini.
and Batman/Spawn. Which technically isn’t out yet. Wretched cash grab. And now I’m complicit. Fuck. :frus:

And the action figure. I saw a 6” Stormshadow at a table. The guy wanted $35 for it. Didn’t feel like spending that much. Came across him again at a different table. They wanted $25. Much more reasonable. I gave the guy $30. He didn’t have any $5s for change, so he gave it to me for $20. Score!

The next big score is….next week! One of the local shops, who was at the show, is having an inventory reduction sale next weekend. 50 cents on all their available back issue inventory. Hollah!
