Loki Episode 3, holy shit. It feels like filler, but, holy shit, what a bombshell twist dropped with no fanfare. Beautiful.

I'm calling it now: whatever happened to make Mobius a variant involved a jetski. Otherwise that detail makes no sense.

This is going to be like GOTG, everyone poo-pooing it, but it comes out of nowhere and sets a new high for superhero movies.

It’s the first original MCU offering in years. Since Capt Marvel and Black Panther like a billion years ago in COVID years. Black Widow doesn’t count; she’s been established in several movies already.

People are in withdrawal. They’ll go in droves.

I'm on the fence. I feel like I've hit the saturation point to be honest. Eternals & Shang Chi feel like scraping the bottom of the barrel. I hope I'm wrong & they can rekindle the excitement for me.

everyone saw the "QENG" building (variant of Stark/Avengers tower), right? Thanoscopter and Throg have been pointed out. there was Ronan's Dark Aster and a Helicarrier towards the end.

Didn't care much for most of Black Widow (too unbelievable & silly with the cg stunts, bogged down badly in the middle) so I suppose I'm sexist.

I probably won't be able to see it until next week, unless I want to pony up $30 to Disney+.

I’ll wait until more of you have seen it before posting specific comments, but I enjoyed it.

The egomaniacal villain, bent on world domination, with the over-the-top secret lair, the powerful henchman, and his own private army, was straight up an early Connery/Moore James Bond flick. And seeing as they had a cheeky “easter egg” referencing that similarity, I’d say it was on purpose.

There’s also five years post-snap/pre Endgame where Scarlet could return for a sequel or two and follow up on open threads in the movie.

I like the synergy between the D+ shows and the films. Wanda set up Dr Strange 2, FaWS building towards Cap 4, Loki definitely laying Phase 4 tracks, and now this movie’s stinger is setting up Hawkeye’s show this fall.

Well, the final episode of Loki just lit a fuse that’s going to burn thru Phase 4.

As a finale for the series, it was a little slow and talk-y, but holy shit, the implications and possibilities going forward far outweighs the exposition in the episode. They can cherry pick from all the other live action universes (X-Men, Netflix, etc) and fold them into the MCU because of the multiverse.
