Here is the Snake Eyes from the next wave.

If you want a 25th Anniv. Dial Tone, you have to join some collector's club.

Snakes is nice, but that Stormy could only be used for custom fodder. Luckily, there are a few remaining ninjas to be made.

Got that Power Team guy for the German Shepherd. Side by side, the knockoff is so vastly superior to the actual Joe, it boggles the mind.

However, just to caution anyone who (like me) planned to give the shitty figure the dog comes with to a kid, there's a sticker saying it contains lead. Not "may contain lead." It says it does. I thought that was illegal.

Mrs A has so far been irked that I bought it anyway, and even showing her the two dogs together hasn't convinced her. I've tried explaining that I don't eat my Joe figures, and will make sure to keep all the parts of this away from our kids (including tossing them out, if necessary), but to no avail.

I'm not sure if this is a mistake or not, but Kmart's website has all of those canceled vehicles that were only showing up in Canada. I'm thinking it must be a mistake.

They also have the movie Night Raven for $3.99, but you can't put it in your cart.

i wouldn't be so sure it's a mistake - lots of times KMART has stuff on their site in advance of a release. they had the new LEGO harry potter sets online three months in advance. their IT dept. apparently has their heads up their asses. how many times can i use the word 'their' in a sentence?
Life is short. STUNT IT!

That kind of makes sense. When I clicked on the Leatherneck/ATV set, it says the item was added in June 2009. It was probably canceled after that.

I shat my pants when I read that. Then I had my order for all four ready to go. Then I thought, "I've never ordered from K-Mart before. Better check their return policy, and maybe do a bit of research."

Apparently, the orders are filled by the closest store that has the items in stock. And all the Alpha vehicles have the same SKU at K-Mart. You can see where this is headed, I'm sure.

I didn't complete the order. I'll cross my fingers Ross eventually gets them.

Here is that $40 Dialtone. He looks kind of goofy to me. Those customs I saw looked just as good or better.

VA finally paid me this week. So to celebrate, I went looking for GI Joe stuff.

Marshall's: Looks like they are getting movie figures in. Nothing I wanted. The only ones to stand out were the Para-Viper and Kamakura. I've read that Kamakura is rare, but I left it there anyway. They had the Cobra Extreme sets. I considered buying the Arctic set, but left it there. The only "unusual" set they had was the Serpentor/Armadillo set. Not many single carded 25th figures. Arctic Snake Eyes, Duke, a BAT, & Mutt.

Big Lots: They had a shitload of comic packs, including 2 different Resolute packs. Considered getting the Resolute Tunnel Rat/Stormshadow, but not for $10, especially when I only wanted the Tunnel Rat. And why did Stormshadow look like Shredder from TMNT? Almost bought a couple of those generic Army sets for the background pieces for $3.50, but changed my mind.

TJ Max: Nothing really interesting. Had a bunch of 25th figures, but nothing I wanted. Arctic Snake Eyes, Duke, Wraith, Mutt, Cobra Bazooka Troop.

Ross: Nothing much. Only had the Dragonhawk.

Walmart: nothing interesting. I was hoping to find Jabba. Almost bought the Snow Cat.

Basically I ended up going to all these places and didn't buy a damn thing. I'll go by a different TJ Max next week and get the VAMP if they still have it...maybe.

Thanks for the offer. It would be cool to get something on a Canadian card, but I'm sure I'll see one with Christmas coming up.

Funny, I was going to report finding part of the rare Kamakura wave. (The only one I never saw was Kamakura himself, who I didn't want. Though a 25th Kamakura would be cool if I find one at another Marshalls.) If you find him, City Strike Snake Eyes is fucking sweet. He's the canceled (then reused in a 7-pack) Resolute mold in a bit lighter color scheme. Desert Viper is also a great figure; I got a second one, since they're unlikely to make a 25th Desert Scorpion and I don't feel like customizing one since this is actually a nicer figure.

Also got another Cobra Trooper and a Red Ninja. (I am a real fucking pushover for Cobra army builders at discount prices.) And a Beach Head/Mainframe comic set, mostly for parts; they're awesome figures with a great deal of potential.

I saw a City Strike Snake Eyes at Marshall's. Didn't realize he was rare. Half of the movie figures had bent cards. Kamakura was bent for sure, can't remember if Snake Eyes was. Oh well. I didn't want to army build Snake-Eyes anyway. I'll get the new one when it comes out and be happy.

Saw the new AWE Striker and Ice Cutter at WM today. Didn't get them. Not that I didn't want them, but was in a bit of a hurry, and they had their typical 7 AM routine: garden center register closed, self service closed, two registers with lights on, one register with a light on that actually has an employee there, twelve people in line buying lingerie and diapers, and the corporate winner for "most incompetent cashier" manning the checkstand. :frus:

The AWE Striker is fucking sweet. It's black, with some well-done weathering. :mabs:
