I'm skipping it this year. But I never went to the toy and comic panels anyway. Websites like CBR and TNI have everything posted within ten minutes of their conclusion anyway. The last toy panel I went to was when Hasbro announced their MU figures. Everybody in the audience except for like six plants up in the front row were nonplussed by the announcement.

This will be my last year for the foreseeable future. It's going from $105/ticket to $175. A 67% increase is more than I can stomach. Not to mention last year they sold out for this year during the convention, but are only selling badges for next year for three hours a day. Off-site. During prime panel/floor time. :(

Grapple!
Windcharger!

Yay!!

I also saw Lugnut. He looked really frickin' cool, despite being a realistic figure of a character from Animated and not a G1 character, so I got him, too. If he hadn't been half price at Ross, or was an Autobot, I would've passed.

Comic-Con Starscream Skystriker
Comic-Con Zarana (the basic one, not the ridiculous-looking variant repaint... if that bitch is $16, I want the one that actually looks like the character)

Fuck the scalpers who used employees to get around the (not so) strict limits and resulted in every Hasbro exclusive except the stupid My Little Pony and poorly-made Indiana Jones exclusives being sold out at some point before 3 today.

The one thing I was really looking forward to was the Starscream Skystriker and my friend could only get one (his) because of the "limits". !#@$@!!

In other news, my MotUClassics Clawful arrived on Saturday.

Got a couple Maisto motorcycles on clearance for Target. They are about the right scale for GI Joe.

Went to 2 Targets. One of them appeared to have new re-releases like the Death Star Trooper and a Stormtrooper. My army building days are over, so I didn't get them. The thing that stuck out was that they were listed at $9.09. Vintage were $10.09. The second Target didn't have anything new, but the figures were still $8.99 and $7.89.

grabbed two LEGO sets on clearance at two different targets last week: 7325 Cursed Cobra Statue for 50% off at $15 and 4840 The Burrow for 30% off at $42 (it was the last one left, so i didn't want to chance waiting for 50% off).

there are two other sets i'm waiting to pull the trigger on, Quidditch Match which was only at 30% off but they had a shit-ton of them, and Gateway of the Squid which was already 50% off, and i'll pick it up if it makes it to 75% off, as they also had a shit-ton of that one and i'm not necessarily enthralled with the set itself, but the pieces would come in handy.

Marshall's got some more GI Joe movie figures in. I got City Strike Snake Eyes, Red Fang Ninja, and Desert Viper. $3.99 each. Mostly got the Desert Viper just for the accessories.

Lucky asshole. :D

The Red Fang Ninja is a kitbash, but a damned fine one. The head is the Resolute Trooper, and I don't remember the body parts. I got two of them and switched the weapons out, giving them both sniper rifles; they're now the previously unseen sniper contingent of the Night Creepers.

The logray figure is nicely done, but it's like they got his color scheme reversed, and the dark stripes are far darker than the vintage figure. Bom Vimdim is great, as are the Rebel Fleet troopers. I'm down to needing 2 Lukes (Dagobah Landing & Death Star Escape as well as Fi Ek Sirch - which I'm not too worried about honestly) and I'm done for 2011.

Bom Vimdin
Logray
Barriss Offee

Probably the only three Star Wars figures this year that I was excited about. I don't mean the only ones I wanted. These were the only three I was wondering which kid to give up to Baal if I couldn't find them.

I found a DC Action League 2-pack with Batman and Deathstroke. I'm not getting sucked into the Action League figures like I did SuperHero Squad, but I think I might try and get the main Justice League characters like Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, etc.

I'm also scouring KMarts for a Catman. I WILL have my Secret Six, Dammit.
