I'm beginning to thing it is being overhyped because they know it is going to bomb.

I’m pretty sure I have every issue of Eternals since the 70s…and I couldn’t tell you a single story point from any of them.
Except the Gaiman ending, when Zuras(?) snapped Sprite’s neck for betraying them. That was fucking hardcore.

Watched Eternals this evening. It’s the least Marvel-y Marvel movie, which at this point might be a boon. Even though it’s outside Marvel fans “comfort zone” you can’t keep retreading the same super hero origin story over and over. Of the most recent MCU movies, it required the least amount of “crutch” from having seen other films in the series. There was occasional references to Dr Strange, Avengers, and the Snap, but it stood on its own for story.
I enjoyed the film, but didn’t love it the way I thoroughly liked the best MCU films. What I did like was sowing the possibilities for future movies, whether sequels to this movie, or setting up other Marvel properties. Marvel has gone thru most of its A-list IPs (X-Men and the FF being the big two left) so creating compelling stories for its lesser properties is going to be a creative challenge. They threw in enough dots here to connect to the bigger picture.

Hahahaha!!! I’m sooooo glad that hasn’t been a red herring this entire series! I think it would’ve pissed everybody off if that character hadn’t been the payoff.

Talking about Hawkeye, btdubs.

I am Loki, Shang Chi, Eternals & Hawkeye behind. I'm going to say screw all of it & watch Spider-Man out of order.

I think you'll be OK. They released the first minute of Spider-Man online the other day, and it looks like it picks up almost immediately after Far From Home, so I don't see those others interfering with your enjoyment.

JJ, I haven't seen Eternals yet, but the others are some of the best MCU of all.

Also Tom is right. Holy fucking shit.

Apparently, everyone on the internet enjoys ruining things for everyone else. My daughter already got spoiled for Spider-Man, so I’m going to avoid the entire internet for the next five days until I see Spidey on Monday.

The exception being this website because I may be posting about the books I’m reading with all the free time I have not being on the internet.

Caio.

I found the sex scene between Tom's Spider-Man and Andrew's to be totally unnecessary. And why was Yoko Ono in it at all? The whole running joke of her rapping about whatever Tobey was doing got old fast.

Also the Pizza Dog cameo was awesome, but I never expected him to be voiced by Ellen Degeneres.

Kidding aside, Jesus Lord of God, see this movie!

I’m going in three hours. Couldn’t wait until Monday. Also, watching certain movies in a packed theater is worth the hassle of being in a packed theater. Being part of the audience reacting to Endgame was one. I’m betting this will be along those lines.

Getting Daredevil back, especially just two days after getting Kingpin back in Hawkeye, was the best part of the movie.

And the rest of it was amazing.

So, so good to see Molina and Dafoe back in particular.

Andrew Garfield deserves an Academy Award forhis PR subterfuge and misdirection. Imagine staying in character for like a year straight who insists he’s not in a movie that he is, in fact, in. Kudos!
