I thought so, that's why I dropped it after 3 issues. Part of me thinks that only Frank Miller's art can compliment his stories, and that having to write at the same time someone else is producing the panels just doesn't work for him. If they're doing it the old Marvel way (art first, based on a synopsis then the final story added last based on the art), I can see him having some issues making it "Frank Miller Tough"... but it's still nowhere near his good stuff... or anyone else's for that matter.

I still buy it because, frankly, I can afford the one issue per year schedule they seem to be on. And $2.99 annually is a small price to pay to watch this trainwreck.

I don't know if it's because they come out so far apart or what, but I haven't seen any kind of cohesive storyline emanating from the last ten issues. They had the first issue where Robin's family dies. Then five issues of them driving to the Batcave. Then a Justice League issue (where the JLA are facist prima donnas?) Then there was an all yellow issue. And I think there was some Joker thrown in there somewhere. But I have no idea how it all fits together. It's like every six months Miller is like "Wha? Another Batman Story? Okay..." then rips a fart on his word processor, doesn't spell check or anything and shoots an e-mail off to DiDio. Then goes back to buttfucking hookers in Panama or whatever the fuck he's doing right now ( Directing the Spirit movie? God help us...)

I for one, still love All-Star Batman and Robin.
I think people are reading it with too serious a mindset. I think the comic is hilarious, especially with his ridiculing of Green Lantern and of course, the whole "I'm the Goddamn Batman" thing.

And ASB&R is loads better than All-Star Superman (or A.S.S.).

So when they say all the issues were "destroyed" is that code for "but up on eBay for retarded amounts of money"? Because I think all 10,000 issues that accidentally got distributed are up for bid right now.

The best one is the guy that's offering them for a $1 but with $7 S/H. It doesn't cost $7 to ship a single comic anywhere. He also says if you are unsatisfied, he will refund you no questions asked. Except for the S/H. So, basically he can send you the regular version that comes out next week, you get pissed, ask for your $1 back and he says No Problem. BECAUSE you just bought the fucking issue from him for $7 when the cover price is $2.99!!! If he bought in bulk, it only cost him $1.50 an issue. $1 for shipping and that's almost $5 profit per comic. 3X what comic shops make. And I'm sure he can get a few dingleberries to send him the comic back so he can resell it. An extra $3, so $8 per issue. OR some dumbass will get the regular version, thinking it's the banned one and if the price got pumped enough, he makes $20, 30 , 40 on the book. Well played.

They're on issue #10 (or will be in the next week or two).

The whole recall thing is retarded. The whole "problem" is the black bars placed over the swearing wasn't dark enough so you could still see the words.
I thought I'd still be able to get one, but my LCS didn't even get any in. All he got a note in his delivery box about it.

Why in the hell would they decide to block swearing in comics? Isn't it under the mature imprint?

All Star Superman looks to have ended with 12. If so, it was brilliant and I look forward to doing a series re-read at some point soon. Excellent stuff - but it struck me only at the end that the coloring on this book was very unique played a huge roll in the feel of the book. Only a very few times has the coloring aspect been notable for me, and this was one of those times.

I just realized...last year when they were announcing all the New 52 hullabaloo, Jim Lee also said he and Frank Miller were going to knuckle down and finish this series. Supposedly under a relaunched title sans the "All Star" Brand.
But here it is a year later, and nothing. No book. No solicits. No teases. No announcement. Nothing.
Obviously at this point I could give a rats ass. It's been half a decade since the last issue came out and the series sucked anyway.
I just think its funny it's STILL not out. Or anywhere close apparently.
