Wow, you got 3 Storm Shadows in one day?

Two are going to be generic Cobra ninjas (the paint schemes are pretty different). The other one I'm going to combine with single-carded Snake Eyes and maybe a few other parts to make the comic version of Firefly II. (The figure and card art were just a green jumpsuit, his old mask in black, and, uh, a visor. The comic version has the same color scheme, which I do plan to make a bit more subtle, but was clearly a high-tech ninja suit.)

You should get the Ninja Showdown 3-pack (you got the other one, IIRC). Those are three of the sweetest Joe figures ever made. That Snake Eyes is damned close to the definitive version; if not for the first and third POC versions, he would be, hands down.

I was thinking about getting that other 3 pack. Is the Red Ninja from the 3 pack better than the single carded version?

Same figure with black details. He doesn't have any swords, but has two sais, a peasant hat, a "Slice" mask, and a naginata staff (which is technically Storm Shadow's, but looks better on the Red Ninja).

Red Ninja is just an awesome figure.

The Joe Trooper is so badass, I bought the blue variant today. I considered the blue variant CC, Cobra Trooper, Red Ninja, and Zartan. But $9 is a bit steep for them, especially since I have all but CC and Zartan (one of whom I wouldn't use, and the other looks better in the black). I left 'em for someone else.

You convinced me to get the other 3-pack and the Joe trooper. I almost got Cobra Commander, but for $10 and the fact that he will most likely be abundant when the movie comes out, I decided to pass.

My trooper has the tan cape. When I get time, I'm going to try other heads on this guy. I don't like the mo hawk and the helmet looks more Halo than GI Joe.

There were a lot more accessories in the 3-pack than I expected and haven't figured out exactly who gets what. I noticed that Snake Eyes is wearing the same vest as Beachhead.

There's a pic on the back of the box that shows all the accessories with the figure that Hasbro thinks they should go with. Snake Eyes with a sai makes no sense, and Storm Shadow looks kinda ridiculous with the naginata he's holding in-package, so I gave them both to the Red Ninja (well, sorta, since they can't hold everything at once).

Fact is, I've picked up a lot of ninja figures sets here and there. The WM Ninja Temple set had a fuckton of ninja accessories, as did the Snake Eyes/Hard Master comic pack. And a few carded figures had way more weapons than they needed. I'm going to rearrange the weapons when I get a proper display set up.

I noticed the blue-deco Joe Trooper seems to have much softer plastic than the tan one. I got Duke to put the mohawked head on his body. Unfortunately, they looked the same through the clear plastic, but the skin tones are just off enough to make it look bad. Both of mine currently have the "Halo" helmet; I figure it's not too far off from the Steel Brigade helmet. (Like one reviewer said in words that could be my own, for a guy who doesn't care for the concept of Joe army builders, I'm getting quite a few of them.)

I think the choice of a mohawked head is dumb. I kinda hope this guy gets re-released with some more standard heads. I wouldn't mind seeing a multipack (unless those are dead) with a few Joe Troopers with different heads facing off against a few recolored Cobra Troopers with new legs. (That figure from the waist up is a serious blown opportunity. With different legs and some slight variation in his paint, he'd be one kickass figure.)

I thought slavery ended in 1865, but I got a black dude in the mail today. Quite unexpectedly; I knew he was coming sooner or later, but it had actually slipped my mind.

Thank you, Senor, for one of my most-wanted Star Wars figures who never seemed to show up around here. Now I just have to properly display him making excuses to Sandstorm Han and Sandstorm Leia as to why the Milestar has blown a gasket and he needs to hitch a ride with them on the Falcon.

My wife bought me the Lego Alien Defence Force helicopter since it was 50% off. The little alien ship that came with it was better than I expected.
