yeah, i liked what i've watched (2, 3 episodes?) but wanted to watch it with my daughter. she says it looks like a disney channel show, though, and won't watch it

Ms Marvel was surpringly good. I expected it to be Teen Disney Marvel, and it was to a point, but it was still a lot of fun.

Secret Invasion had its moments but it should have been bigger.

You need to watch Ms. Marvel. Not so much to understand The Marvels, but because it's a damned good show. Definitely a different feel, but no worse for it.

The Marvels is also a much better flick than people say, and it's a shame it didn't do well.

You honestly can't watch the cringe-worthy stuff on the musical planet and think the movie is anything being ok

I feel like there is a good movie that was left on the cutting room floor though.

Deadpool & Wolverine trailer dropped. it looks like a hell of a good time. I'm sure I missed some other references, but the absolute best one is "Liefeld's Just Feet" storefront sign in the background of the scene where both characters walk out into the street in slomo.

clearly, they're spoofing everything under the sun. that's the entire point of these movies!

So it looks like they totally backpedaled on Kang altogether and, um, RDJ is Dr. Doom.

I feel like they're trolling us at this point. Trying to keep an open mind, but this feels like the worst possible decision.

If he’s a Tony variant, I will be supremely disappointed.

If he’s doing strait up Doom with an accent, makeup, and a majority of the performance behind a mask, I’ll reserve judgment. He seems to have a good rapport with the Russos, and he’s proved he’s all in on the success of the MCU. I doubt he’d want to tarnish it.

I hope Tony Stark is Doctor Doom.

Victor Von Doom is THE quintessential Marvel villain. He deserves to be his own character with his own rich complicated backstory and motivations in the MCU. And not just an evil Tony Stark. That would be a huge disservice to the character.
What if they cast Hugh Jackman and said Doom was just an evil Logan variant? Or cast Ed Norton and said Doom was just an evil Bruce Banner variant? Or Nicholas Cage and Doom was just an evil Johnny Blaze variant? NOBODY would be energized if they had made those announcements yesterday.

If they wanted an evil Iron Man, there’s plenty of lore to choose from. Make him Iron Man 2020 or whatever.

But Doom needs to be Doom.

I'm still hoping they figure out a way to bring Victor Von Doom into the movies, don't get wrong, but I'm struggling with how they get RDJ to be anyone other than Tony. I'm wondering if they're thinking about a story where Victor replaces Tony as Iron Man like that one volume from a few years ago with the Alex Maleev art. It was pretty great... that could allow for Tony (back from the dead preferable to variant, at least for me) to break bad.
