No clearances here, but they have mostly Renegades CC, Firefly, Ripcord, and Scarlett.
Do not pass on Renegades Scarlett if you find her on clearance. Best Scarlett figure ever.

I got her when I bought that case.

Forgot about that.
If I can find her cheap, I might get extras. The mold is sweet, and I really like the head. Given the small number of female figures (particularly those without attached caps or glasses), I grab any I can get on the cheap for potential custom parts.

I was thinking about this. Unless Hasbro really decreased production of the later waves, all of those cases have to be sitting in a warehouse somewhere. So, you're probably right and POC figures in some form should be hitting the discount stores.
Someone on Hisstank also mentioned the paint variations on Croc Master and Blowtorch. Images of the variations never really hit the internet and neither ever came up on ebay. I wonder if the even exist....not that I was that excited about them.

It's happened quite a bit with Joes, TFs, and Star Wars in the last few years. Early waves of a new line are heavily over-ordered, the good stuff is cleaned out, and the pegwarmers rot. Maybe halfway through the line, they'll clear out some of the older stuff, only to get the next wave (about six months behind), and have the process repeat because the same pegwarmers are stocked in later cases.
Then the entire second half of the line shows up at closeout stores. It's not good for any of the lines, sadly. I'd rather pay full retail and be able to get everything, and maybe get extras at closeout, than get only the early waves at retail and the later ones on closeout, then either have the line canceled or go up in price.
Whyd'ya think the Retaliation Joes are supposed to be $10?

The Target near my house put GI Joe stuff on clearance. Of course, the "original price" is $10.99, and they were marked down to $7.68. All they had were a bunch of Destros and a Renegades Duke. The 12" figures were also marked down. They had a Skystrker marked down to $24. When I looked closer at it, I saw that someone opened it and swiped the pilot.
It will be an interesting few months to see the new movie figures, these "dollar store" figures, and to find out where the remaining POC line will pop up.

Did I mention we got a new puppy the week before Christmas? Well, the puppy just started a new chewing whatever it can find phase. The past few days, she got a couple of my wife's and daughter's flip-flops. I was off yesterday, and my daughter and I had a box of GI Joes out. My daughter spread a handful of figures out in the living room I didn't put them away as quick as I should of. Today, my wife found a Renegades Cobra trooper in the back yard. It was missing the head and a hand. She ended up finding the head, but not the hand. Besides the hand, the dog chewed part of the vest, too.

Oh, shit. That's an awesome figure and not one of the most common. On the off chance I find them again (which may actually not be too farfetched, with Target clearancing out stuff and probably having more in the pipeline somewhere), do you need a replacement?
BTW, I've heard from a reliable source at the other site that the "bargain" Joes have been sighted at Dollar General in Oklahoma. You said they actually had them in the Vegas area, right? There are none around here, at least not within whatever the maximum search radius on their website is.

Luckily I had 2 of that figure, so I don't need a replacement.
Just saw the headline at hisstank regarding the Dollar General Joes. I know where 3 of them are. I'm leaving my house now to go look at one. I might check the other two on my way home tomorrow.

If you're still there, I'll take anything you don't want but the blue Cobra Commander and green Snake Eyes. Still iffy about the blue Snake Eyes, but better safe than sorry.

They didn't have anything except for some bad Two-Face figures and some POTF2 quality Iron Man and Captain America figures.

I saw the first four vehicles at TRU in Redlands. Didn't get them, though. TRU will cost more, and someone will have them on sale within a month.
I went to a Big Lots and noticed a sign that said, "ATM and Credit down, cash only." I had this sinking feeling that would mean I'd find all the bargain Joes and only be able to get one. Didn't happen, though.

Of the stuff that is supposed to be out first, I think I'm only getting the Red Ninja and Rock/Beachhead 3 pack.
Still haven't seen the Dollar General figures.

Damn, man, I hadn't been paying close attention to the real news on these guys, just looking quickly at pictures and saying to myself, "These figures look awesome! What the hell are people complaining about?" It wasn't until I happened to look at a review of the Snake Eyes figure that comes with a vehicle and realized he had FIVE points of articulation that I realized something was up.
At $10, no way are the limited-articulation figures worth getting. Well, maybe one or two. Zartan actually looks like a decent Renegades Zartan aside from the articulation issue. I might get one CC and Cobra Trooper to start with, then an extra or two when they hit clearance. (CC is guaranteed to be clearanced. People just don't get multiples of any CC, no matter the occasional trooper builder potential some of them have.)
I might get vehicles for the vehicles and, I dunno, give the figures to my kids or display them in some way that their shortcomings aren't so damned obvious. The Sting Raider (or whatever they're calling the Water Moccasin this week) driver looks neat, but he's a fucking vintage Star Wars figure when it comes to articulation! Aside from the stuff I've listed, both ninja sets look nice (except for Roadblock, who does look nice, but, fuck, what's with the stupid action feature hands that NO OTHER FIGURE has?), and I'll want the stand-alone Red Ninja as well. I'm weird; I actually dig the ninjas. I'll probably get at least one Joe Trooper, but the bizarre head and the neon colors aren't doing much for me.
I can't figure out why the fuck they sacrificed ankle articulation on so many of these if they're so movie-inaccurate anyway. Just re-use old legs. Damnation. With missing joints that have been standard on Joes for ages, they don't even have much custom potential.
Hopefully, the massive lag time will result in Hasbro re-designing these to make them better-articulated, more movie-accurate, or, better yet, both.

And... fuck. It looks like Hasbro has requested (or possibly ordered) stores to return Retaliation product. And store managers have said that they will order far less in March.
So who knows if the stuff will be the same in March or not? There's the chance they might improve the line, but I doubt it. Hopefully, it's the same stuff just getting wider release, or they keep the better figures. Or at least ship this to Ross if they make a better line.
I saw some empty pegs marked as Retaliation product at Target today, with a sign to watch for something new soon. I'm hoping they're filled tomorrow, with the original street date and all.
I want for certain eight figures altogether. Maybe a couple more, but definitely eight:
3-pack Snake Eyes
3-pack Storm Shadow
3-pack Beach Head
3-pack Kamakura
3-pack Red Ninja
single-carded Red Ninja
single-carded Joe Trooper
single-carded Storm Shadow
(I couldn't give a shit about the lackluster Roadblock with fixed hands, which is why I have a total of five figures from two 3-packs listed. I'll use him somehow since I'd have him, but I hope they make a better figure of him at some point.)
I want the HISS and possibly the Ghost Hawk II. Definitely wouldn't mind the AWE Striker repaint, either, and the Ninja VAMP if it's out.
Truth is, I'll probably pick up Cobra Commander (black or blue version; apparently, both are available on single cards, despite rumors the black would only be in the Amazon set), Cobra Trooper, and Snake Eyes if I see them. And I'd get the other vehicles on clearance, if that happens.
