Re: Three Random Thoughts (aka Randolph Mantooth!)
1. Saw a trailer for Chaos Walking. I wasn't paying very close attention, so I'm just going to assume Rey and Peter Parker team up outside Maz Kanata's place and do stuff.
2. Tim Allen and Richard Karn now have a show on The History Channel where they ship a box of parts to people. Those people then have to build whatever object they are told to make. From what I can tell, they incorporate "history" into the show by having the builders google things like "Who invented the leaf blower" while they are working. In a way, I guess that also makes it a Google commercial.
3. The other day a commercial with Jennifer Gardner came on. My wife and I both failed to name a recent movie or tv show she has done. As far as I know, she just does commercials.

1. I don't care if they cancel Pepe Le Pew. Never liked him anyway. He was just filler in between Bugs Bunny and Road Runner cartoons.
2. I don't care if a toy potato is now gender neutral.
3. Apparently the Grammy awards tribute to Eddie Van Halen lasted about 15 seconds. People are shocked, but this is the same group of people that gave the best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal award to Jethro Tull instead of Metallica. By the way, that happened in 1989 and it was the last time I watched that award show.

1. Getting old means you’re just listening to more dead people sing songs on the radio.
2. Philosophically speaking, it is the natural state of the human condition to never be “satisfied” and the ongoing attempt to reach a state of “happiness” is futile and we should all just give up.
3. People are garbage.

Your #2 is one of the key tenets of zen buddhism - they call it "suffering" - and you can't be enlightened until you stop & focus on what's happening now.
Unless I read it wrong which is entirely possible.

If you all had sisters that looked like 1980 Carrie you'd be sneaking peeks. Fucking perverts.

Re: Three Random Thoughts (aka Randolph Mantooth!)
On Friday, Mark Hamill retweeted a original trailer for ESB because Harrison Ford did the voiceover. He made a follow-up tweet asking everyone to ignore the part where he made a move on his sister.
By the way, the trailer used a couple clips from scenes that were deleted.

1. "Funky Cold Medina" would probably get Tone Loc today. Drugging women, anti-LGBTQ behavior, and a dash of beastiality.
2. Between 1964 and 1964, there was a band called The Mynah Birds. Members included Rick James, Neil Young, and 2 guys from Steppenwolf
3. I ate a chocolate brownie Cliff bar. Despite chewing it well, I later pooped a slightly squished chocolate brownie Cliff bar.

They play that on the radio all the time here. While I like the song, I always wonder how they get away with it in 2022.Ran wrote:1. "Funky Cold Medina" would probably get Tone Loc today. Drugging women, anti-LGBTQ behavior, and a dash of beastiality.

1. One of my favorite Apu quotes from The Simpsons is "Celebrate the independence of your country by blowing up a small part of it."
2. There are a number of Americans that will wake up tomorrow morning with less fingers than they had when they woke up today.
3. In the Star Wars thread, we were talking about racist fans. I've been through a few Targets and Walmarts over the past few weeks. The only 3.75" SW figure on the pegs is the vintage carded Lando. Is that on the fans, or Hasbro?

Lots of Black Series Lando General also. Before that, it was Jannah.Ran wrote:3. In the Star Wars thread, we were talking about racist fans. I want to think Hasbro overestimates the demand for certain characters, like Lando. Perhaps put more of the higher demand figures per case?
Jannah was a less than memorable character that didn't warrant a figure. Maybe her role was much more important in earlier drafts (see: Zuvio in TFA) and that dictated her being a figure.
