Football

most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

That almost hurts worse than a blowout.

Feeling your pain, my man.

The part that sucks is that they kicked the ball to KC with 13 seconds left and let them tie the game.

The look on his face when he called ‘tails’ on the OT coin flip was “Shit. I’m never gonna see the ball again in this game.”

Heartbreaking.

That might have been the best weekend of NFL playoff football.... period. Taking my preferences for who won & lost out of the equation, I don't know if we've ever in the past - or ever will again - see all 4 games coming down to the last play. So many instances of players playing their position at literally the highest level it has EVER been played. Tyreek Hill absolutely disappearing after he caught the ball.... SF's special teams player busting the line right at the center & saving their season.... Joe Burrow not only surviving 9 sacks (???) but winning the game... and Josh Allen playing like a god damned superhero... I hope they can finally overcome the Chiefs like Peyton Manning finally did Tom Brady after so much effort. Time will tell.

I can see it henceforth being referred to as “The Weekend” and everyone knowing what that means.

Someone at work asked me about the Bills game. I told him I lived through the Music City Miracle, Wide Right, and 3 other Super Bowl losses, so I'm used to the disappointment.

I think there had to be clock fuckery. I rewatched the kickoff & the last 14 seconds.... still seems impossible that they were able to get 3 plays off in that short amount of time.

2 more great games. Happy for Matt Stafford & the city of Cincinnati, hopefully LA can win this one as I suspect Cincy is going to be back there a few more times in the next 5 years.

I think he's going to do it, and that will complete some magical triumverate of disappointment for Detroit fans (along with Verlander & Scherzer's WS wins immediately after leaving).

Tom Brady says he is day-to-day about retiring. Well, it turns out that he is due a $20M signing bonus on Feb 4. If he retires, he still gets to keep $5M of it. Basically, if he waits until Feb 4th to retire, he gets $5M.

Stafford is proving that the Lions organization isn't very good. I don't understand how the 49ers got as far as they did with Garoppolo.

The image that stuck with me was when OBJ went over to the Niners’ bench and was consoling Deebo Samuel. Such a powerful, emotional moment.

After OBJ went down with an injury, I legit thought it could go either way. But then Stafford/Kupp did what they do all season when it was clutch, and then Aaron Donald did what he does.
Wouldn’t call it top ten best SBs ever, but it was a decent game.

Fuck Stafford.
Still a bum.

The Rams carried his mediocre ass.
Kupp had to make great catches for poorly thrown balls all game.
And Cincinnati gave the game away with late penalties.

4 games into the season, the Lions have scored the most points out of every team. 140 thru 4 games, averaging 35 a game.
They’re also at the top of the pts against column with 141.

So we have a decent offense, and a horrible defense. Lol.

My worst fear is Goff is gonna have a great season, and they give him shitty large contract, don’t bother drafting a qb next year, and he turns to shit for the remainder of his time here.
