Damn, you're like the fourth person I've met who has a semi-personal connection to Etta. I've been debating seeing her in concert the weekend of my birthday with BB King and Al Green. I've seen BB before, and it's expensive.

Fuck it. It's Etta. I wouldn't do her now, but if there was a way to do just her voice, I'd fuck her voice's brains out. And it's my birthday. And my wife walked down the aisle to "At Last." One of the best fucking songs of all time.

Oh, and John Lee's no slouch, but his riffs are all pretty close to the same. I love him to death, though not in an "I'd do him" way, but he's not quite in the category with the above.

Also, a few notables are missing- Lonnie Johnson, Mississippi John Hurt (not as much a "killer axeman" but his melody and hooks are fucking SICK, AND he defied the "blues" stigmas and died as an old, happy dude, same as the aforementioned Lonnie) and for a "chick" Elizabeth Cotton is awesome- the other, dude Cotton I can't recall is also deadly fuckin good
