Nov. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Barack Obama won Pennsylvania's 21 electoral votes, MSNBC projected, besting Republican John McCain in one of the few states won by Democratic nominee John Kerry in 2004 where McCain campaigned.

Arizona Senator McCain competed in Pennsylvania as his campaign increasingly focused on holding the line against Obama in Republican states. Senator Joe Biden, Obama's running mate, is from Scranton, Pennsylvania, the site of efforts to unionize American mine and industrial workers.
MSNBC projected Obama will win a majority of ballots in Pennsylvania when counting is finished. CNN and Fox News said it was still too early to call the race.
MSNBC pundit Keith Olbermann made the call, saying, "In your face, Billo! You're the worst person in the wooooooorrrrrrrld." Bill O'Reilly reportedly thought this was not funny, as did most other people who heard it.
