I'm taking in the Flintstones 50th Anniversary (holy shit!) marathon on Boomerang. They keep advertising the next piece of shit live action Scooby Doo movie. (Yeah, I've never seen one of them. Yeah, I'm still making the blanket statement that they're all shit. And, yeah, I'll stand by that without ever watching a damned one of them.)

Anyone else think it's a bit screwed up if Velma is sorta hot, and Daphne is rather fugly? (Not to mention that Velma is Asian.)

Haven't seen the commercial for the new Scooby Doo movie yet. I saw the 2 live action Scooby Doo movies with Sarah Michelle Gellar. Not great, but they were ok. In one of them they brought back a bunch of the monsters from the cartoon. For some reason they decided to incorporate a bunch of fart jokes. The only thing I thought they changed was Daphne. Instead of being the one who was always captured, she had a kick-ass girl power thing going on.


Edit: Right after I posted this I saw the commercial. Yes, it does look shitty. Nothing like the other live action Scooby Doo movies.

First off, Velma was ALWAYS the hotter one. Daphne was a vapid whore, and Velma had the schoolgirl skirt and stockings thing going on.

Secondly, the first two were semi decent if only because Matt Lillard was Shaggy and Linda Cardinelli was Velma.

But truthfully, if you stick to your 'no live action Scooby movies ever' rule you're not missing out on anything.

Holy crap this new Scooby Doo movie is terrible. My kids are watching it and I've only seen 5 minutes. From what I've gathered, they are working at some sort of high-end resort over the summer. I'm guessing they are still in high school because they mentioned Fred being on a football team. The guy playing Shaggy is doing the worst Shaggy voice ever. Downright painful to listen to. Shaggy is trying really hard to hook up with Velma. Daffney thinks she is Fred's boyfriend. Fred thinks they are just "hanging out".

Lt. Uhura from the original Star Trek is in it. It is weird because I've never seen her in anything else other than Star Trek.

Scooby Doo is apparently voiced by Frank Welker, but he hasn't been in it much so far. Odd considering is a SCOOBY DOO MOVIE.

The guy from Married with Children and Revenge of the Nerds (the quarterback) runs the resort they are working at.

Bull from Night Court is in it too. I think he is Daffney's uncle.

Me and my friend Poopy'sDad were watching this, and it was AWESOME! It was great! It was so great, we wanted to watch it again when Snigtad comes to visit next week. So I bought it at Target. But then K-Mart had it on sale for a penny cheaper, so I returned it to Target and got it at K-Mart. But then we saw the local mom & pop video place had it for twice as much so we returned it there and got enough money to go go-karting, if they ever open a go-kart place here.
