I think at this point it's safe to say that Jan Brewer only cares about political points with the far right, as she keeps signing laws that have no chance in court.

Okay, forget whether you think abortion is right or wrong for a moment. How the fuck are they planning to enforce this? What woman goes to a doctor and says, "Doctor, I think my baby might be black. I want an abortion." Even if someone were stupid enough to decide that, now that the law is passed, who would say it? Even if people did actually go that far, does the doctor, the clinic, and everyone else have to keep a running spreadsheet with a column to check off for reason, including "race" and "gender"?
Seriously, this is one of the most obvious cases I've ever seen of "this law won't actually do anything because it's unenforceable, but will make it look like I'm leading the crusade on a cause my political base cares about."
