CNN is reporting something quite possibly worst than an earthquake in Japan or civil unrest in the Middle East...

Most celebrities try to cover up a nude photo scandal, but not Kathy Griffin.

After a topless pic of the comedian was taken, she decided to share the snapshot with her more than 725,000 Twitter followers.

"Haha I did NOT stage this photo, BUT if one is in @Gloriaestefan's yard, one will b "papped"!" she tweeted yesterday as she posted the pic, which shows her outdoors wearing only a pair of bikini bottoms.


Griffin's pal Estefan also backed the story, writing on her own Twitter page, "Kathy Griffin also flashed a cruise ship (top half) from my dock...LOL! She looks GREAT, btw!"

Twitter reaction to Griffin's photo was mixed.

"Looks like ur having a grand ol' time letting the girls hang out... I love it!!!" wrote RefugeeKLicious, and thecourier2001 agreed. "Wow Kathy griffin topless. Not bad for 50! Impressive. Most impressive."

AlmostFamousSYP said a big "YUUUUUCK!" while funnyshaffer commented, "I just saw a topless picture of her that made me hungry for pancakes!"

ChenoAddict summed up many people's opinion, writing, "That's what I love about you! When others are caught topless thy get mad. You, on the other hand, tweet it!"

But Griffin may not be so bold after all. She has since taken down the photo.

Not me. I know that there are titties that can turn a man to stone if he looks directly at them, and I'm 95% certain Kathy Griffin's would qualify.
