Is there a subclass of nerds who are, like, devout Liefeld fans? And do they collectively have enough clout to sway artistic staffing decisions at publishers?
Has anyone in any Marvel staff meeting(since 1993) said “you know what will give this book a HUUUUGE sales bump? Rob Liefeld. His fanbase will descend upon the spinner racks and save this title from cancellation!”
I submit no.
But. He bought me and my friends hot dogs once. And he signed a copy of X-Force for Bumcake, who gave it to anarky, who gave it to me. I still have it.
