Guitar Hero

Anyone else played it?

This game fuckin' DOMINATES! It's like DDR for the hands. The songs are covers, but they sound almost exactly like the original. The ones that stick out are "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand and "I Love Rock and Roll" by Joan Jett and the Black Hearts. But all but a couple would be hard to differentiate.

And you can feel like you're playing "Ace of Spades"! Nothing says "Fuck, I feel like a God!" like "being" Lemmy!

The only issue I have with it is that the jump from easy to medium is nuts, and from medium to hard can make you retarded.

I saw this in the Target ad last Sunday. My first thought was "Dance Dance Revolution" for your fingers. Basically for fat kids or anyone else against to sweating while playing video games. After reading this I checked out a few online reviews & others seem to agree with CS1138. I may have to check this one out. We all know chicks dig a guy who can play guitar. I wonder if this will ruin it for guys who actually can?

The only bitch I've heard about it is from people who can actually play guitar. They say it's a bitch if you know how to play a particular song because "playing it" on the game is completely different.

All right.

I know the first one has Joan Jett in it, and we just learned that the second one actually is Joan Jett (which may explained why I've popped a boner every time I see it in the display case).

Even so, I can't help but wonder about the appeal.

So, what the fuck is the appeal, for those of you here who think it is the shizzy?

I think it has something to do with dreaming YOU are a Guitar Hero- that's why I don't really need the game, since I am a second-rate axeman already

Being a 3rd rate axeman myself, I too wondered about all the wannabees trying to rock like me. Then I witnessed a guitar hero in action. It really is pretty fucking cool. But if anyone put the same ammount of effort into playing a REAL guitar as they did trying to beat this game, they woluld probably be able to rock out at least enough to get laid.

What the hell is wrong with you people?

You should know that you NEVER QUESTION THE ROCK!

(It's a really fun fucking game)

I have a sneaking suspicion I know who you're talking about. :P

I have ZERO for musical talent, so anything that actually makes me feel like I do is pretty sweet in my book. Plus, its fun as fuck. I've really been playing the shit out of it the past couple days and have made some big leaps on expert. For those in the know, I was stuck on "Rock This Town" by the Stray Cats and FINALLY beat that and now I'm stuck on "Psychobilly Freakout" by Reverend Horton Heat.

I recommend it to any of you jokers. Plus, Guitar Hero I features "Ace of Spades". How can you go wrong on a video game with a song written by Lemmy?

Guitar Hero 2 for the X-Box 360 is supposed to have even more songs than the PS2 version. Unfortunatly, I don't have a 360, and my PS2 has been tits-up for a while. So, I won't be playing GH anytime soon.

It has more songs available, but they need to be purchased off of X-Box Live for some arbitrary amount. The additional songs are (as copy and pasted from Wikipedia :wink: ):

* "Hush" - Deep Purple
* "Dead!" - My Chemical Romance
* "Billion Dollar Babies" - Alice Cooper
* "Salvation" - Rancid
* "Possum Kingdom" - Toadies
* "Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo" - Rick Derringer
* "Life Wasted" - Pearl Jam
* "The Trooper" - Iron Maiden
* "Drink Up" - Ounce of Self
* "Kicked to the Curb" - Noble Rot

Except for the Toadies track, I don't feel like I'm missing out on too much. Also, a GH 80s edition is rumored to be in the works as well as GH3 for later this year.
