Some of you guys probably know that I'm not a carded collector. Well, I finally got around to listing all of my carded figures (I just put them in a spreadsheet for now). I plan on trading/selling some of them. What is the typical protocal for trading and selling? I don't want to throw a trade list on the new site with out learning a little more about the process first.

I won't be trading my Silver R2, Thrawn, the Hong Kong collectors box, the 300th Fett, Flashback Anakin, and maybe a few others. I'm thinking about opening a few, like the OTC Bespin Leia & Spirit of Obi-Wan...possibly some of the army builders. I don't want to throw a trade list on the new site with out learning a little more about the process first. Not listed is the E1 Preview STAP I'll probably trade, and some loose figures.

Well, I'd post it pretty much "as is" up in the traders or buy/sell forum, complete either with prices or things you're looking for. For buy/sell, the person always sends the money first (unless you decide otherwise) and in trades I usually ask for simultaneous shipping. Have you really been collecting for this long without trades?

Not to be rude, but a Canadian without trades is a collector with nasty, nasty holes in his/her collection.

I want Ephant Mon, Leia General, Chewie MEchanic and Thrawn

and if it werent for me, JJ holes in his collection would be bigger than slickers moms hole....and thats <font size="6"><b>BIG</b></font id="size6">

What do you guys use to come up with a fair price?

And if you're getting rid of those OTC figs I'm in the market for some. I don't have my list handy but I recognized a couple that I need.

I've been pretty lucky. I've never had to make a trade for my collection. The only figure that I didn't pay retail for is Admiral Motti. I bought one POTJ wave through Kebco. Only a couple were from Ebay (Hoth Battle Pack and carry case scantrooper). Everything else I found retail, unless they were an online exclusive, like Oola, Kabe & Muftak, and the POTF2 AT-AT driver wave. And I got the Ree-Yees at a flea market for $5. I think he was a some Hot Wheels collector selling SW figs. I later found Ree-Yees at a Target or Walmart, so I have one opened, and the carded one listed.

I actually won one of the ATOC Yoda from Kebco and the 1997 Hong Kong set from SSG a long time ago.

I've even been lucky with vehicles. Most of the vehicles I've purchased have been on clearance. There are a few vehicles I wish I picked up: the Snowspeeder, TIE Fighter, and the Sandcrawler (never saw this one). Luckily, the snowspeeder is supposed to come out again this year.

That was my intention. I will re-edit this list first. There are a few on there I want to keep (Thrawn, OTC Bespin Leia, and OTC Obi-wan just to name a few.)

Thrawn is the only EU Figure made that I know anything about. Wouldn't you rather get that Korean bootleg 8-Pack (Hoth Han Solo, Boba Fett, Stormtrooper, EU Chewbacca, EU Luke, C-3PO, Tatooine Luke, TIE Pilot)?[crazed] I have 2, so I figure one will get put on the trading block.

I'm working on my wanted list. I'd like to get some of the VOTC figures loose or sealed. Which VOTC figures should be considered "Must haves?" Stormtrooper, Vader, and Boba Fett? A lot of them didn't look like they were worth the price, or a significant enough improvement over the regluar figure.

Is that Evolutions Sandtrooper worth getting, or is it going to be the similar to the upcoming TSC version?

I hav ealot of extras in that line, I bought some doubles, I know I have a stormie, A fett and possibly a vader. LMK. I will let you know what others I have.

Ok, I said I had some doubles of the VOTC and here they are:

Vader

I also have an extra Grey Clonetrooper to Sandtrooper Evo pack.

I would consider Han and Chewie to be the "must haves" of the VOTC line (there are other very similar, very good Vaders, and R2 was basically available exactly the same in the Hoth wave from this year). The Stormy is very nice, but I still like the old Commtech version for some reason - same with the whole Evolutions Sandtrooper vs. POTJ - I'll take the POTJ version every time. I know, I'm fucked, what can I say?

I had a few others that I traded away for some other stuff.One was a Han, a chewie and a stormie.
